This hotel has lots of charm. It is very laid back and no feeling of being rushed over meals. The staff are very friendly and helpfulful, especially Shelby. Its in a fantastic location right on the beach. The view from our room was amazing. Edinburgh is not far and the bus stop is right outside this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights but would have happily stayed for longer.

Booked for post funeral gathering in the conservatory. Very nice room, beside the sea with views to Fife. Lovely soup, sausage rolls, sandwiches, tea & coffee. I had asked for something for vegetarians, & veggie sausage rolls were provided. They were excellent (more popular than the meat ones). The two girls on duty on Friday afternoon, were very attentive and helpful. All in all, a good choice for a gathering! Thank you Rockville.

I have only give it three stars as the breakfast cereal was very limited.tried the porridge oats being in Scotland but was disappointed as it was very thin and watery.the bacon and egg was ok. Our room was very small but overlooked the sea.so a bonus. Only room to park three cars but you can park on the road outside no problem. We took the bus into Edinburgh we was directly outside the hotel. And at a cost of 1.60 single was an excellent price but make sure you have change as they dont give change back or pay by bank card which i did no problem.

Perfect base for a couple of days exploring the coast. Good value for money. Tasty food served all day, very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room (though the bathroom was in need of a refurb, though times have been tight in the past 2 years this would be a worthwhile investment). The star of course is its location. Ask for a table by the window and just watch the tides. They even provide binoculars! Looking forward to visiting again.

Went for a early Christmas meal with my two boys and their Grandparents. Lovely seaside meal. Fantastic view over the Forth (Weather permitting). Very traditional seaside/pub menu. Average price and lovely service provided by the staff. Good disabled access as the glasshouse seating area is on the ground floor with plenty of space to move around. Staff are lovely and attentive, they could not help more.
The food is hearty and the portions are generous. Expect a limited menu however plenty of family favourites. Only comment is given its a fantastic location the venue itself could do with a little modernisation. This however did not take away from the charm and enjoyment of the meal.

Very nice food. Had the smaller lunch which was plenty. Service was good apart from a mix up with our telephone booking which the staff hadn't been advised of. The conservatory itself was very quiet; however a large party were booked into the side room, but this didn't really affect us. Good value for what we had. Sadly the lovely view was obscured by a heavy mist!
