Lovely hotel with equally lovely staff. nothing too much trouble and we felt really looked after. We had dinner here twice and it was excellent. our special thanks to Phil & Nicola & Chef who were fantastic. The chef very kindly wrote out the ferry times for St Maws! Reception staff were so nice and helpful, lastly our room was so clean. Thank you all for such a great stay.

Tired after a long day travelling visiting a Freind found this excellent hotel last. Brilliant facilities they are under rated. Booked direct. If I am ever this way again I would choose it. Pool and a gym and breakfast. They even had a washing machine. Couldn't find just a room for this price last night. Feeling refreshed this morning. Many thanks!

Amazing place. We stayed here in April while house hunting in the area. Nick and his team were always on hand for anything we needed. Food great, beer great, pool great, room brilliant and well laid out as we had our kids with us. They loved the bunk beds and we loved the fact that our room opened up on to a small patio. We will have to come to Cornwall again during the house process and will undoubtedly stay here again. Thank you

Very nice staff when i arrived. when 1st arranged for rooms person i spoke too got them mixed up, but soon sorted. But worsy room out grouting extra bad. Got woken up 1st night people walking around kept awake until about 5am. 3 of my seperate family who stay here will not as they used to allow dogs to stay they do t allow them anymore. The owners i believe are dog lovers. The will loose out big time with others that have dogs.

Lovely hotel with elegance and style. Great customer service. We had a problem with booking.com with the hotel doing their best to sort the problem out and making sure that we still had a room. Good English cooked breakfast. I loved the piano and enjoyed playing it. I also enjoyed swimming in the swimming pool and listening to the bats in the grounds of the hotel.

Not worth the peak money they charge (240 a night in August). The external building/grounds are nice and the staff are friendly and helpful but the room was very dated/basic. The food was the same, while there was nothing wrong with it was not worth what was being asked price wise. The location is not central to the town and unless you can walk for 40 minutes up and down some fairly big gradients then driving is the only option. If you get a stay for a budget price and are able to drive or don't mind taxis (we recommend Donalds Taxis who were great over our 4 night stay) then go for it.

I am sorry to give such a low rating. The staff were attentive but the quality of the hotel was poor and felt like an old peoples home. Food could have been better. Breakfast was disappointing. I did no go in the Spa although thus was open. 155 for single room with ensuite, doors fell of old shower and decoration in common parts v poor.
