Gyllyngvase House was originally built in 1880 and was the first residential coastal property to be built on Gyllyngvase Road, some 200 yards from a stretch of sand now known as Gyllyngvase Beach. It wasn't until the mid 1900's that the area of Gyllyngvase started to undergo extensive development which saw landmark hotels and further family homes being built.
The area around Gyllyngvase is now classed as a conservation area in order to protect its heritage and areas of natural beauty. Andrew and Elle are very proud to be able to offer a beautiful guest house, 200 yards from Gyllyngvase Beach and less than a 10 minute walk into Falmouth Town Centre.

A really lovely place to stay, we were greeted by Karen who made us feel so welcome, our room was very clean and felt luxuriously simple, very comfy mattresses, TV and tea and coffee self serve was fab, there was a beautiful sitting room and garden downstairs where you can sit in the evenings and relax, the breakfast was perfect - not too piled up and cooked perfectly.
My teenager loved his scrambled egg and salmon breakfast. As well as making us feel safe (with the covid measures in place) Elle and Karen also made us feel very at home, and I couldn't recommend it enough and really hope to be back soon. It was a perfect end to a long day travelling, and just a very short walk to the beach. The parking was not an issue - spaces in the carpark but room on the street outside as well if needed. Also just a 15 min walk into Falmouth, so an ideal base.

We have recently returned from an excellent holiday in Falmouth, staying at "Gyllyngvase House". Our hosts Elle & Andrew provide first class Bed & Breakfast accommodation, absolute cleanliness (including maximum provision against Covid) Their hospitality and kindness was amazing; they made us feel like "one of the family". The rooms, including a lounge, leading to a neat garden, were spotlessly clean & comfortable.
The location of Gyllyngvase House was just a short walk from Gyllyngvase beach and Falmouth harbour. This was our second visit to Gyllyngvase House, and we have already booked another stay for 2022. Just perfect Keith & Jenny Hayes Sept 2021

First of all, the staff here are amongst the best I've ever come across at a hotel. Felt welcome at all times and they were friendly and approachable. The room we stayed in was clean and equipped. The only reason I've score a 3 and not a 4 is the decor and furniture in the dining room feels like I was in a retirement home and the hot breakfast just seemed a little unspecial. But all in all I'd advise a stay.

Clean modern interior, attentive, friendly staff and owners. Excellent breakfasts. We had a very enjoyable few nights stay. We usually visit Falmouth and stay at one of the larger hotels nearby but Gyllyngvase House will be getting our business from now on if they can accommodate us. Thanks. The clean and thoughtful styling made this lovely hotel feel so calm and restful. The owners' were warm and welcoming (we quickly felt like valued friends) and showed amazing concern to make our stay a happy one. When lockdown restrictions lift this will make an excellent choice for a holiday as it's also perfectly positioned between sandy beach and town.

One of the best services I've had in my life. Elle who is one of the owners of the house was very welcoming and lovely. The beach is literally 5 minutes away. The breakfast served in the morning was plentiful and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a delightful stay.
