The beautiful Old Priory Hotel dates back to medieval times and offers guests a delightful place to stay in the heart of Somerset. The hotel is also home to the famed Moody Goose restaurant which was originally located in central Bath before the owners, Victoria & Stephen Shore, were enchanted by the Old Priory. Lovingly preserved, the hotel features a wealth of character and charm in the form of inglenook fireplaces, flagstone floors and oak beams. This ambience, combined with the award-winning restaurant, provide guests with a truly splendid atmosphere in which to dine and relax.

Absolutely wonderful! Planned a hen do at the Old Priory last year and have been meaning to write a review since. still looking for a good excuse to book up again to go back too! The hosts Matt and Melody were super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The facilities were really good, it used to be a restaurant so perfect for self catering. Definitely pay for the breakfast included- they were cooked beautifully and good value for excellent quality, enjoyed by all (they even made us pancakes ). The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Close enough to Bath but we also just partied at the house one night it's a good size. can definitely recommend!

We held our wedding reception at the Old Priory and we were delighted. It feels cosy and homely but at the same time is capable of hosting larger groups especially with use of the beautiful walled garden. We had full use of the restaurant level professional kitchen and managed to self cater our entire event, which was perfect for us. Melody and Matt are fantastic hosts offering friendship and help wherever they could, but also giving us the freedom to use the property as we saw fit.
