Old Course

We stopped in to the fourth floor bar for a small refreshment after a hard day's wandering around the town. The staff were friendly and attentive. The view was stunning overlooking the sea, beach and Old Course. Nicely kept toilets. We didn't have time to stop longer but will definitely be back.

Having afternoon tea overlooking the Old Course. Top notch as you'd expect from a Kohler hotel. Haven't stayed as a guest, but is there any doubt that every last aspect of your stay will be 5 star? I think not.

Afternoon tea booked for 11 (10 adults/1 child) on Saturday 4th June. I arrived 10 minutes early and ordered drink. It took 2 attempts and eventually drinks arrived 35 minutes later. Tea was served, one of my party delayed her tea until later and is still waiting. Sandwiches only came out for 9 adults and 1 child, took awhile for staff to understand our dilemma and action. Drinks ordered, not received and whilst you have plenty of staff they didn't seem to have a direction of what to do.

Bill arrived as requested, checked and felt that staff wanted us moved on, if a member of staff wanted us to leave to get table ready for dinner, great, we could have moved to bar (maybe spent more money) but was not offered. This was my recommendation to come to Old Course for cousin's 70th Birthday, and was extremely disappointed that service wasn't particularly great.

I think you will be disappointed in my feedback as you pride yourself in your first class service. So please take this as an opportunity to address service in Road Hole restaurant and restow my belief in your establishment.

Located right on the coast and with multiple golf courses conveniently situated. The staff are super helpful. The spa was great, loved the massage. Try out the Jigger Inn, fun place with great food and good pints. Easy to get to town and have a good time.

Had Sunday lunch and it was delicious. Teriyaki Salmon followed by Roast Beef and a Malibu and Lime panna cotta. My friend had the same starter and main but had the Salted Caramel tart. Would highly recommend and views topped it off.

Wonderful hotel with amazing views over the old golf course. The rooms are extraordinarily quiet and comfortable. Very glad I stayed in memory of my dad who was Scottish heritage and an avid golfer

Had another afternoon tea here, for Mother's Day. Lovely food, view and great staff. But the new conservatory area seemed a bit like a cafe. No white tablecloths as we have had in the past.

Had a fabulous time for our overnight stay and spa day. Staff are all brilliant cant do enough for you. Food was amazing thank you we will be back

Had a great experience when we stayed. Only hiccups were the length of time it took to be served in the Swilican Loft restaurant, didn't appear to be staffed correctly, and we had to ask twice for the extra we pre-paid for to be brought to the room when it was supposed to be for arrival.

Amazing experience, walked on 6 of the holes, then into the old course restaurant for a fantastic 3 course meal. Service, food, views & whole time there was wonderful. Highly recommended for anyone not just golf fans.
