Had a lovely afternoon tea in the sunshine outside in the front grounds of the hotel. The setting is loverly with manicured gardens and rolling hills. The hotel accommodated our request for a vegetarian afternoon tea. Sandwiches were good with the scones fresh and warm however the desserts were the star of the show with flavoursome options for even non chocolate lovers. Service was ok. Would recommend if in the area. Note also there is a lovely trail at the back of the grounds which is worth a stroll afterwards.

Absolutely mind blowing, a fantastic place to stay. We were exceptionally lucky to be upgraded to a 'Lords' room (suite). A birthday surprise from my other half was a night away at this delightful place, we arrived several hours early to explore the grounds and make our way to the Old mill ice cream place, the staff could not have been more helpful, we were obviously way too early to check in however they took care of our bags and parked the car.

After a walk and ice cream, we had a spot of lunch; a jug of Pimm's and a sharing lunch, as my other half is gluten intolerant, bread items were replaced without fuss. We savoured every delicious bite. An a la carte dinner was included in our package, the food was hard to fault the desserts which were a work of art. The staff also brought out a birthday treat!

The staff's efforts, friendly and professional manner, the beautiful grounds and rooms - first class. I am very much looking forward to breakfast, but not to leaving. Thank you.

Unfortunately there was an event or party on when I went to celebrate my birthday last year. Therefore, the service was very poor, we pretty much got forgotten about. No special touches or efforts were made, and given what we had paid for the room we felt very disappointed. Would not return due to this bad experience.

Just returned home after an overnight stay to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. Absolutely fantastic hotel. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They upgraded our room and gave us some lovely truffles after our evening meal. The ambience and cleanliness of the whole hotel is first class. The food both evening meal and breakfast was gorgeous. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Had a birthday lunch here today. My goodness the food was amazing, ambience perfect, and the staff were all so lovely. We took my 10 month old grandson too and the staff made such a fuss of him. He even got a spare Yorkshire pudding from the kitchen! Think this was the best roast beef ever! Would definitely return. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Stunning manor house in gorgeous village.

After a first stay one month ago I have to re-consider Lords of the Manor as a cherry on top of the cake. Lovely just renewed rooms, spotless, top notch restaurant and plenty of helpful staff who is around looking for your needing satisfaction. I enjoyed the stay and must consider/suggest this enchanted hotel to anyone who is planning to visit the area. Many thanks to all the amazing staff.

We had our afternoon tea for 9 of us for 60th birthday treat. It was delicious and well looked after by the staff. Worth booking for anything special. Only snag is that I didn't see the car park sign so I managed to park my car on the road.

This was a present to celebrate my 60th birthday with a friend. We received a room upgrade on arrival and had lovely views. The tasting menu in the Atrium was delicious and a memorable experience. Facials in our room before breakfast completed a wonderful stay. Thank you all.

Absolute perfect. The room was large with plenty of space, a very modern spacious bathroom. The breakfast was amazing, as were the staff, nothing was too much for them. This hotel is perfect for a break in the Cotswolds, although all the towns and villages are a minimum 10 minute drive away.

The Atrium restaurant fine dining experience is amazing. The main restaurant is ok, but nothing special, particularly when the only main courses which don't attract a supplement are cod and 2 vegetarian dishes! Staff are delightful and the rooms are fine, but cooked breakfast was rather disappointing. All in all, the hotel did not live up to our memories of it in years past, when it held a Michelin star and all meals were memorable.

We only went for tea and it was simply excellent, ace service, amazing ambience and smashing pastries. The hotel is lovely and lives up to expectations, the grounds are beautiful and the local area is Gloucestershire at its best and i am an Oxfordian. Just go for it!

Had an amazing tea at the front garden. The hotel was limited on staff but manager made an extra effort to have us. Nice tea in an even nicer place.

A very comfortable hotel, set in magnificent grounds and staffed by friendly, willing and attentive staff. We visited at the beginning of August and had no concerns from a COVID-19 perspective. Food was of a very high standard: full of gentle flavours. There was a good range of options on the menu but it could become a bit limited for anyone staying for more than two or three nights.

If you can - stay here. Very accommodating and very nice people. Didnt thing the food was bad at all. Room was delightful. Take the afternoon and follow the paths through the sheep pastures over to the other little towns - be careful where you step. We walked all over the place and met great people on the same quest as us. One of the best places we stayed in the west of London

This rating is more for the hotel and service more than the food. This manor house is nothing less than splendid. Let me start from the outside garden and yard. The front lawn is so nice with benches overlooking the pond and small hiking trails going off in various directions. The backyard garden is so wonderful with all the flowers and the layout is similar to that of noble gardens of the past, but on a much smaller scale.

Other than the dead mouse outside the back door that was there for two days, it really was relaxing. The inside consists of so many halls, doors, and rooms that my wife went down the wrong hall at least three times trying to get back to our room. There are several sitting rooms, lounges, tea room and bar. Although we did not eat at the restaurant for dinner, we had a great breakfast that was one part buffet and we also ordered some more food.

In the evening we sat in the lounge and I had one of the local beers which was refreshing. My wife had tea and chocolates. The barman/waiter brought out a large, wooden box filled with at least 20 different chocolates to choose from. They were good! The room was very nice. The room made me feel like royalty and the bed was most certainly fit for someone with high expectations. If you can, I highly recommend at least a one night stay.

This is a lovely hotel, and it's in a beautiful spot. We had high tea on a lovely day in April, sitting outside on the gorgeous lawn overlooking the pretty streams and pond at the bottom of the valley. It loses two stars because we had the (pricey) high tea and the bread for the sandwiches was stale - not just turning stale, starting to get hard to chew stale. A shame because the cakes and tea were great, but a place that can serve sandwiches with stale bread isn't getting the basics right.
