Loved both courses, stunning set up and scenery, the view off the 13th tee especially. Both courses are tough challenges of golf, but especially the Colt. (Be warned there are some pretty steep slogs that will drain any tired batteries). If you are staying over I am sure you'll be impressed with the accommodation.

Simply sensational. 8 of us went for 2 nights & 3 rounds of golf. Not one complaint from the entire group. Both courses are immaculate, greens are phenomenal. The bar & restaurant service was first class, food quality & presentation were exceptional. Up there as one of my best golf trips. Hope to return.

Clubhouse and accommodation first rate. Food preparation excellent and good service. Main course was a little underwhelming considering tournaments held there.

A warm and welcoming place. I was nervous about what the atmosphere would be like at such a prestigious course. I shouldn't have, it was friendly and relaxed. A bit expensive for food and drink but you have to expect that for such good facilities.

The Close House Golf Club restaurant which we visited on Easter Saturday is truly lovely. Wonderful value for money but most importantly superb service, genuinely lovely tasty and great portion sized food. Fantastic scenery overlooking the famous golf course. This is a great place and would heartily recommend it!

We have just come back from a weekend at close house and I dont know if it was down to the weather the week we played but our group of 12 were all disappointed with the colt course as we found the greens to be very slow and inconsistent. The filly course was better and the hotel and food was very good but unfortunately i wouldnt like to pay the prices advertised as i would have felt very aggrieved All in all it was a good deal but just expected more from the courses after reading all the great reviews

Well worth a visit. 2 very good golf courses the Colt being the most challenging. A very well organised set up. The accommodation is amongst the best I have stayed in. The club house, bar and restaurant were very good and our evening meal was excellent.

Lovely setting. Restaurant was amazing, lovely food ( pre book would be advised ). We stayed in the courtyard room 2, was really nice. Couple of things could do with being updated and maybe. Suitable dressing table but a lovely stay none the less. I would stay here again.
