Kenbridge Hotel Everything was really good from the staff, facilities, atmosphere & mostly the good. The children's ice cream with miniature smarties, wafer & chocolate sauce went down a treat with our daughter. Definitely will return in the future if over in that direction.
Services
Inside it is light and airy with simple white walls decorated with tasteful prints and original paintings and has natural pine doors and fittings. The Ken Bridge, a 10 bedroom Georgian hotel, has a spectacular river bank location close by Loch Ken, in an area renowned for its tranquility and picturesque views. This 18th Century Coaching Inn was originally built to provide food, ale and shelter for travelers and coaches on the Old Edinburgh Road between Ireland and Edinburgh.
Wherever you go in Dumfries and Galloway you're tracing the footsteps of historic characters, in places which saw the course of Scottish history transformed. Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots, the Black Douglas, St. Ninian, the Wigtown Martyrs and the romantic story of Lady Galloway and her sweetheart.
Blessed by the balmy breeze of the Gulf Stream which gives Dumfries & Galloway its surprising warm weather, the gardens of the region are some of Scotlands best. From the palm-fringed west coast to tropical gardens, formal gardens, hidden gardens and specialist nurseries tending rare and unusual plants.

We never stayed in hotel we were staying in the village and as this was the only place you could have a drink as the two pubs in the village are closed we had a lovely walk with our dog across the fields and along the river and as it was a lovely night we were looking forward to sitting in the beer garden but very disappointed once we got there to be told we couldn't sit in the beer garden with our dog.

Staff not very nice and only serve food to residents. You would think after this pandemic and your establishment being the only place around that serves food and drink you would be jumping at the chance to get more customers in. I understand not being able to sit inside with your dog but in a beer garden outside is ridiculous especially when you have a well behaved dog.

Nice traditional Inn. Really friendly staff offering a warm and inviting welcome. Good, hearty food at reasonable prices. Only letdown was the rooms - a bit dated, quite dusty and a bit of a lottery on the comfort of the mattresses.

Great hotel with friendly staff, amazing food, fabulous desserts and ridiculous scenery. Totally recommend the Robert Burns ale. The bridge needs weeding though.

Lovely stay again. The Ken Bridge is always our go to hotel when we are in the area. The owners Sue and Dave are always hard working and a pleasure to talk to. Nice relaxing atmosphere (whilst adhering to covid rules) fantastic food and great beer.

Clean and comfortable hotel with really friendly and welcoming owners. The pub is great and the beer garden with its views over the bridge and river is a real highlight. In terms of location it's about a 25 min drive to Castle Douglas. Would recommend!

Stayed one night whilst motorcycling in the area and was not disappointed. Food good. Hospitality welcoming and although we had not booked a table, they sorted us out efficiently. Beers good too.

Really enjoyed our meal. Proper pub food was just what we needed and this didn't disappoint. The staff went out of their way to open doors and get a highchair for our little one. The place was clean and reasonably priced.
