The most beautiful, romantic, peaceful and perfect location I have ever stayed in the Uk. Absolutely stunning grounds, clean and comfy accommodation and great location to local areas of interest. The wildlife here is plentiful, buzzards, deer, wrens, owls, squirrels, robins, song thrush to name a few. Constant bird song is just amazing and helps a lot with the relaxed feel here.

The river is a few steps down the path, and plenty of good walks. Spitchwick is a few mins drive which is great for and wild water swimmers. We visited a lot of tourist attractions with ease from this location, but we also had a whole day staying at the cottages just admiring the views and gardens. It ticks so many boxes so I highly highly recommend this destination for your holidays.

It covers cozy Autumn/Winter breaks but also Spring/Summer breaks. We arrived in May/June, but would love to return in the Autumn to witness the tree colour changes. 100% score from a family of 11 (age3-72) Thank you!

A real treat! Set in private grounds the Carriage House gave all we needed and so much more. Walks around the estate and along the River Dart therapeutic, and Dartmoor setting supplied opportunity for spectacular walks. The cottage was clean, tidy with all utensils, white goods needed for a comfy stay - wood burner cosy & bedrooms lovely. We will certainly go back & highly recommend.

We stayed in the fisherman's flat, which had all the facilities you could wish for, quality bed linen and towels as well as beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We had such a peaceful time, we would stay again.

A beautiful, comfortable house in an idyllic setting. A lovely walk down private tracks to the Dart, where we swam. Our dogs haven't needed to be on their leads since we arrived. Very peaceful - the noisiest thing we heard was a cockerel in the distance. We're already planning our next visit. Very highly recommended!

Gorgeous, quiet setting, with only birdsong to hear. Comfortable house, with plenty of space, dog-friendly and each bedroom has a separate en-suite. Great for several couples or a large family.

Extrodinarally peaceful! Given that it is an ex-hunting lodge means that it is surrounded by sweeping lawns and plenty of woodland for walks. The owners are cheerful and welcoming and the food is good, traditional english food with home grown produce. The afternoon teas are also excellent.
