We stayed here for 1 night as we met friends. The bar area & restaurant area are pleasant but the choice on the menu is limited (No Fillet or Rump) steaks. We had a shock when we walked into our bathroom it was like the 1970's, a clapped out old sunken bath with cracked old tiles and taps that have been there since it was built i suspect. We travel a lot and experience quality at most places but I'm afraid these rooms need urgent attention.

We recently got married at Hatton Court and I can not fault them! They really went out of their way to make sure the day was completely perfect and made sure it ran as smoothly as possible. The rooms were gorgeous and the best part was they are so accommodating for dogs which was super important to us! I'm so pleased we chose them as a venue it was everything we dreamt of and more!

Executive room needs updating the bath needs replacing not all the jets worked on jacuzzi bath. And only had one small bottle of complimentary water between 2 people for 2 nights stay. They didn't refill tea area and room wasn't cleaned over the 2 days and towels weren't replaced no linen service.good location and parking available.

Currently trying to sleep with dog barking in another room. If dogs are to be allowed they and their owners should be in separate block. Very dated, bathroom grubby and in need of re-grouting, taps and shower covered in scale. Room very cold, one small radiator that has now gone off completely. One positive staff very helpful. Stayed here 45 years ago, when it was The Tara, now very disappointed.

Lovely hotel, serene atmosphere. Lady on reception desk (didn't catch her name) was very friendly and helpful, even moved us to a different room when I had some small issues. Rooms are traditional and cosy, however are in need of some minor renovation. Resturant was good and the bar/lounge was great - loved the decor. Views are impressive.

Went for an afternoon tea with 10 others. The food was served on trays and not the traditional stands that you would expect an afternoon tea to be served on. The sandwiches were dry and I would suggest they had been made hours in advance. The little cakes wasn't any better either. There were other tables that were having afternoon tea and they had theirs served in the correct way.
Why as a group of 11 treated differently to a table of 2 or 4? They gave 2 very small pots of jam & clotted cream to serve 11 people! Had to ask twice for more. Also had to ask for more tea & coffee. Not once were we asked if everything was ok. If we had wanted a buffet we would have stayed at home and done it ourselves. Afternoon tea is supposed to be a treat. This certainly wasn't a treat. Would definitely think twice about coming for afternoon tea again.

Attended the Forever Jackson night last night. The ladies toilets had no soap or toilet roll for the whole evening (even after asking the staff 3 times). I stood at the bar for a good 10 minutes with about 5 staff members just talking and looking at their phones with about 1 staff member actually serving. A lady next to me ordered a bottle of wine and the bar man didn't know how to open it? The advertised 3 course meal was a hog roast, which was very average. Disappointed with the evening as a whole but the entertainment was good.

Lovely night away with dinner and breakfast. Don't think I've ever been to a hotel where every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful! The service really was superb. Room was very nice and tidy and views of the countryside perfect. Food in the restaurant was outstanding. Overall can't recommend enough - we will certainly be back!

What a friendly place! all the staff are so nice and very willing to help out: my wife and I were here on a one night stop-over with our collie. it felt at times as if the collie was their paying guest as he was fed treats by staff and was even served sausage for breakfast. nonetheless the premises are clean, warm and cosy and extremely well maintained.
I really recommend Hatton Court, they know exactly how to look after their customers. oh, and they are very covid savvy. special mention to Sonia, they've got a real gem there

We stayed for 1 night as part of a gift and we had a great evening and stay at the Hatton court hotel. We stayed in a executive room and we were very happy. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows are the best pillows I have ever used! In the room you get everything you could need including fridge, hairdryer, iron and TV. The bathroom had a beautiful large bath in which was for myself being tall was a blessing and something I took advantage of.
The restaurant is also highly recommended. The service was amazing and as for the food yum! We also had breakfast delivered to the room which arrived at the time we requested. Only a few very minor complaints. It would of been nice for the TV to be on a swinging arm bracket. It's location in the room didn't make it the easiest to watch. And the only other thing was the lack of plugs. 1 either side of the bed to charge phones etc would of been great but we could only find 1 free socket in the whole room. Overall we had a lovely evening and stay and would recommend this place to anyone!

Be careful which room you book! Staff are very good and helpful! Hotel and grounds are fabulous We booked a few weeks in advance for a two night stay. I would like to say upfront that the staff were very helpful and understanding. However we found our room to be difficult to sleep in, the first night was just about bearable as we had been travelling and seeing Gloucester so were very tired.
However the second night we had to leave early, as we had some issue with the room, mainly to do with the room temperature. There was a large hot water pipe running through the room, that we could not switch off, this heated the room, and all we could do to cool the room was open the window, which mean we could hear a lot of noise as we were above the reception, there was a wedding on the second night which also meant we could smell people smoking outside and there was more noise.
The room did have a desk fan, but we also could not sleep withe noise of this on in the room. There was also a flashing light on the smoke alarm, which meant it was too difficult to sleep on the second night. We had raised the flashing light to reception during the day, but were not advised that anything had been investigated or done to resolve this.
We knew they were fully booked for the wedding so decided to just leave and were issued a refund bu the reception staff, which were were very grateful for. The Hotel is in a very nice setting with fabulous views and a good breakfast service. They also offer room service breakfast which is a brilliant idea! A nice hotel with great staff but just be sure to check you don't a get the room above reception.

Hatton Court is the perfect choice of wedding venue. Our daughter booked her wedding there in February 2019 and was finally able to get married last Sunday - fourth attempt! Throughout the ups and downs of COVID we have been supported by Natasha, the dedicated wedding planner; and on the day Tom, the MC, made sure that everything was perfect, that the wedding ran smoothly and according to our wishes right through to the end of the evening reception at midnight.
All the staff are friendly and helpful and work as a team to make sure that whatever is needed is done. The permanent wedding marquee was beautifully set up, the food was excellent, and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. All that was left for us to do was to spend a very happy and enjoyable day celebrating with family and friends.

Relaxed Country hotel nestled in the Cotswold Hills ideally placed for Gloucester and Cheltenham with fantastic views across the Severn Valley. Good breakfast that was included in my package. Staff were friendly and passionate about their workplace If you're looking for a hotel with a touch of romance this is it!
