We purchased Corse Lawn as a family, my late husband Denis, son Giles and I, over 41 years ago, as a bankrupt restaurant near Tewkesbury. We had been looking for a restaurant in Gloucestershire or at least a restaurant in the Cotswolds, and this one ticked all the boxes, beautiful setting, unspoilt area and great potential for luxury restaurant, and room for Gloucestershire bistro, and the room to add beautiful bedrooms to turn it into a luxury Cotswold hotel with fine dining restaurant near Gloucester, and affordable!

M4 Get off at J15 and take A419 towards Cirencester. Once near Cirencester follow A417 towards Gloucester. You will come onto the ring road round Gloucester - follow the signs for Ross and Ledbury. Eventually, you will come to a roundabout with Ross straight over over and Ledbury to the right. It is the A417 to Ledbury that you want.
Leisure facilities are pretty typical of a traditional Country House, with an indoor swimming pool (closed in December, January and February), a very good hard court tennis court, a rather amateur croquet lawn that produces a lot of fun, and games of badminton and table tennis, as well as leisurely walks around the grounds or even more leisurely eating around the pond - weather permitting.
We are very fortunate to have a remarkably diverse landscape around us, with the wondrous honey coloured villages of the Cotswolds, the majestic Malvern Hills, and the mighty Forest of Dean, all within a 15 minute drive, as well as the glory of the Severn Valley in which we sit. Castles of Eastnor (10 minutes) Sudeley (20 minutes) Berkeley (25 minutes) and Warwick only 40 minutes away.
Most of our rooms fit into this description and are very large with large Queen Anne windows. We have some pet friendly bedrooms in which your dog(s) are welcome to join you. Dogs are welcome at the hotel and are allowed in the bedrooms and public rooms but not the restaurants. Of the five ground floor rooms 4 have showers over the baths and 1 has a walk-in shower with a six inch lip.

Third time staying here and again had a wonderful time. This time we stayed for 2 nights over NYE. The hotel is beautiful and quaint and with the Christmas decorations and open fire in the lounge it was a perfect setting. Our room (as usual) was spacious and warm. The owner and her team of staff were welcoming and totally professional. The food is a little expensive but when it is as good as it was, you don't mind paying their prices. All in all a wonderful new year's stay and we will definitely be back again in the not too distant future.

Friendly staff, lovely setting for a hotel, room was a bit tired. Lot of water noise in the bathroom and sounded like a plant room next door to room, maybe it was just our room but it did keep me from going to sleep. The lovely lady on reception did reduce bill after conversation in the morning so they may have fixed the noise now.
