We had a voucher for Afternoon Tea which was fab - nice selection and just the right amount. Raspberry cocktail served in a teapot was delicious! Metal seats were very uncomfortable though so we didn't stay longer than necessary and the decor and lighting is very dull. The food was nice and service was good. A nice enough place if your bum isn't too wide but has plenty of padding and you've been eating your carrots!

We had a booking for high tea and were expecting an English, Scottish menu but were extremely disappointed with what was actually served. The plateful of sandwiches were unimaginative with slices of tasteless ham or salami with a couple of leaves stuck in between and a bit of some cheese. The sides of the dry white bread could have been sheared off but it wasn't and that made the chewing even more tiresome.
As for the cocktails served in the kettle, that's the gimmick they advertise! Unfortunately not the slightest hint of any alcohol. The three stars are only for the ambience and the staff can't blame them I guess for the insipid over rated high tea!

It was ok, food was good, staff were nice but seemed bored, I asked for a virgin oina colada which they happily obliged, the first one was lovely but full to the brim it spilled everywhere, second one was full to the brim with ice! The atmosphere was flat I have to say, and not what I expected, I guess it depends when and what time you come but on the day I visited, it was very dull!

Greeted only with "do you have a booking" twice; not exactly a friendly welcome. It was quiet, with about 8 tables and 5 working there floating about & not really doing anything. After waiting and not being served, and prying open the sticky menu-gross! clean your menus?- decided to leave. Unfortunately the team on lacked any leadership, direction in a dirty charisma vacuum of a bar that has sadly lowered it's standards severely. The patrons had that expression you see on people that regret coming in. Went to your competitors next door- recommend Slouch and Bunker for efficient service! :

Thank you to the staff who worked the bar last night for my daughters 18th. We all had an amazing night. Food was enjoyed by all but so much left over. Would definitely recommend and book again for any parties / events I may have. Thank you also to Richard & Calvin who helped organise it all & kept in touch with me with every detail.

We had our staff night out in the penthouse floor. Communication from Richard in the lead up to the event was first class. The bar staff and in particular Jacob were friendly and attentive. The buffet was fantastic and there was so much that unfortunately there was a lot leftover. All the staff had a great night and I have no doubt that we will be booking future events at Saint Judes.

First time here but will definitely be back. Smaller than we thought which worried us a bit re social distancing, but waitress moved us to another table. Food was exceptional. Tattie scone nachos are to die for. Sirloin steak & chips were fab. Perfectly seasoned & perfectly cooked. Sauces were definitely home made & so tasty. Crispy onion on tomatoes a great touch. Staff very friendly. It was a bit cold inside, both main door & bar door open, poss due to covid guidelines. Glad to see staff & customers wearing masks.

5 stars have never been more deserved. The customer service before we even got to our meal was amazing, we had to change the booking a few times for different reasons and both Richard and Calvin were fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble! The atmosphere, service and food where all fantastic. There was 9 of us and we all had different things from the menu, everyone said how amazing there food was, we didn't have one complaint. The Caesar salad and chilli fries were the best I have ever had! Thanks to all at St Jude's for a fantastic meal!

Absolutely brilliant night. Went for the first time for food and cocktails on Saturday 7th August with my partner. The portions were huge and the cocktails so yummy. I'm a little annoyed I've never been before as the place is beautiful. Think I have a new favourite bar. We will definitely be back again. The staff were also so attentive and absolutely fab with some great chat and banter

Nice early evening drinks. Was relatively quiet when we arrived around 5pm but by the time we left for a restaurant booking elsewhere it was starting to get busier. Had a good few pints which were all nicely chilled. My wife had a few cocktails from an extensive cocktail menu. Service was excellent/prompt and polite throughout our stay. Keep up the good work.

Saint Judes is nice. The prices are pretty good considering it's a "boutique" hotel and I didn't really get the hotel vibe from it at all, which I suppose is a plus, however I didn't really get any "vibe" off it at all there was no atmosphere at all. I'm not very much of a cocktail drinker, however working behind a bar for years and running events in many different venues I found that for somewhere that's pretty big on promoting it's cocktails and cocktail menu there was no effort put in to the cocktails and they were very plain, half the fun of cocktails is watching how there made and seeing the different things that go in them and how there displayed but it just seemed.well again boring, there was also no menus and the bar man didn't have a clue what was on it.
We were attending a show in the penthouse, which was brilliant, however the room itself was pretty plain, the stage had a lot of equipment on it which made it interesting to look at, however the bar area was very bland or as my friend put it "it looks sterile but not in a clean way" which was very true as the stairwells, the room itself and toilets were filthy, not to mention one of audience got locked in the toilet and there was over an hour spent trying to get him out of it.
The whole place just had a bland cold atmosphere, which was disappointing because the staff were all really nice, I called up in advance to make sure there was seating because we were taking my gran and they reserved us some seats even though we didn't have the VIP tickets which which was a lovely thing to do. I'd like to go back for a night out and see what it's like purely because the staff were very welcoming.

After wandering up bath street to go for cocktails, we had originally picked out Hummingbird but it was closed for a private function and this bar was right next to it, but down the stairs. Sign advertising 3 cocktails. Sold. Walking in I was unsure, it was pretty quiet and they have a sign asking you to wait to be seated, but we just rocked up to a table.
We were brought cocktail menus and the choice is good. Prices vary from 5-9. The usual really. Then they have a select few from the menu at 3. I had a Strawberry and Passionfruit mojito, it was perfect. The Cosmopolitan I had after however was a little disappointing. Too much Cranberry and not much kick or taste to it. The surroundings are interesting, they have alot of burlesque style photos on the wall, nice low lighting and a grand piano in the corner. It was a good choice to stumble upon.

Ate a quick dinner in the basement restaurant here (The Saint) at the weekend. Apart from the menu outside being a different one from what was given to us at table there were no complaints - the service was very courteous and swift from both waiters that dealt with us, the burger was pronounced as very good and I personally enjoyed my fish & chips w/ curried peas. Bath Street offers a lot of competition but in my recent experience The Saint stands up well against it's contemporaries in terms of quality and price.

Saint Judes is a beautifully exquisite hotel and exclusive venue for business meetings. I was actually taken aback by the gorgeous and chique decor of this boutique hotel. I had never been in a self proclaimed boutique before so had no expectations, which was irrelevant as this hotel will exceed any you do have. To find a place like this on Bath St I though was a bit odd as it would fit comfortably in any high class area.
I was here attending a private business event, and I have also been to the restaurant which is award winning for Pan Asian food. The food in the restaurant, which also acts as a bar and lounge after business event, was a little more expensive than average but only by a couple of pounds. This is a hotel housed in a busy city centre, but also is relaxing and quite cleansing an experience.

I don't know if I've completely missed the point of the phrase "boutique hotel", but I honestly thought when I walked in here that I'd be met with a cozy, confined hallway, complete with rose patterned wallpaper, mustard coloured, tassled lampshades and a motel sign flashing overhead. What I was met with instead was a polished, charcoal, trendier than thou vibe and a hallway that, had it been the 80s, would've been full of yuppies!
Not saying the atmosphere is all bad, however - I've obviously just missed the point in the term "boutique". Saint Judes is an ultra fashionable, glossy, chic hotel with fabulously expensive artwork adorning the super, super-frescoed walls. I trepidly approached reception since I felt like I didn't quite match with the colour scheme but the girl was very friendly and accomodating - exactly what you want to be met with in a hotel!
This is the kind of place Victoria Beckham would be at home in if she were a bit cooler and had better tase in - well, everything. There are 80 gorgeously furnished, spacious luxury rooms for around 100 pounds a night depending on which suite you'd prefer. There are also apartments available for short and long term stays - great for people on business who fancy sleeping somewhere with a touch of class. Saint Judes also apparently rents itself out for functions, conferences and weddings, so it dabbles in everything from family gatherings to coroporate events.
I could see it pulling off both quite easily as each room and each suite seems to be different from the next. I'd wanted to rent a room out for a night so me and my boyfriend could have a naughty night out for Valentine's day but alas, it is a pricey stay - you're looking to spend at least 100 pounds for the night and no doubt if you stayed here you would treat yourself in the lavish late bar downstairs, or for a three course meal in connecting restaurant Mama San.
Aside from the cost, this was the only factor that detracted me from booking a suite for the night because it was rather lush. I would recommend it for ladies who want to pamper themselves with a bit of Manhattan ambience, as this hotel would be just as comfortable on 53rd street as it would on Bath Street. That being said, you know to expect a dent in your wallet - but a luxurious night's sleep to make up for it!
