Glazert Country House Hotel

Spacious room with lovely big bathroom. Good choice of food in restaurant. Helpful, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast included in the room price.

Attended private function. Staff courteous, efficient and attentive. Choice on menu excellent! Quality of food excellent. Venue excellent for private function. Only one concern stairs leading from toilets through double doors definitely a hazard. Need a risk assessment steps down steep and treads narrow. One of the members fell, definitely needs reviewing otherwise you would have got 5 stars.

Attended a wedding yesterday at the hotel. From the minute we arrived the staff were fantastic. We had a wheelchair user in our party, Unfortunately there are stairs into the function suit and a ramp was required. There was a member of staff available at all times to move the ramp when required. They were sensitive to the feelings of the wheelchair user. Inviting her into the room before the rest of the guests to cause less upheaval.

The rest of the day went without a hitch The food was delicious, every choice on the menu was thoroughly enjoyed and drink prices were surprisingly low for a wedding venue. I'm sorry I didn't get the staffs names Lady in black dress and gent who introduced wedding party in went over and beyond to make our attendance at the wedding a pleasurable one.

Lovely home cooked food. Originally placed in draughty table but staff noticed so closed to over open door and lit fire. Just outside Glasgow but worth the travel. Meals reasonably priced even provided carry out trays for two of our party who needed to cancel. Lovely outdoor dining got the warmer weather. We will be back!

Lovely staff who make you feel very welcome and provide delicious meals. The premises are spotless and provide excellent service. I would highly recommend Glazert Country House to family and friends.

Tasty meals. Good size portions except for the side order of onion rings. However the fish had too many bones for my liking. Decor outdated and bathroom needs overhaul.

Had my son's belated 21st birthday family meal here. I had received good recommendations about this place & I was not disappointed. The service from the staff was excellent & the food was exceptional. I will definitely be going back for more.

Visited for a quick lunch during walk. Very smart. Food was great. Nice ambience and good service. Not overly cheap - but that was to be expected and was, I think, worth it.

Our second stay here, room was clean and comfortable- bonus points for the spa bath. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Food in the evening was lovely - fantastic steak pie and lasagne. Breakfast was very good too. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Very welcoming to the 4 us walkers. We were not exactly the cleanest, had our boots still on and damp clothes, and a little overzealous. Staff though were lovely, soup and roll were perfect after a snowy walk on Cort-ma Law

So good to be back for our monthly meetings. We have been attending for about 40 years? Lovely preChristmas dinner with superb service.

I have already written to the proprietor and to date have not received a reply. They will not be surprised by this review. I was recommended this hotel for an overnight stay for convenience of location. First impressions on entering the hotel were that it looked pleasant and adequate. However, the room we were allocated was outside of the immediate hotel which was room number 6.

The room needed a deep clean, the shower didn't work, and when I checked the bed OMG! It was a twin room and the mattresses on both of the beds were revolting. They were completely covered in stains which looked like urine and brown stains which I don't even want to think what they might be? I can't understand how the main hotel looks so inviting and clean but the room we were allocated was disgusting, unsanitary, appalling and I don't know how they are still in business. The standard of housekeeping is deplorable.

Only gave it 3 stars as I only had a bowl of soup which was nice. Staff were pleasant, looked clean and tidy, it was dark when I got here so can't say to much about outside or any other part of the Hotel.

Food was delicious. Service was excellent except for the starters. They served everyone with the haggis starter and seemed to forget the people who had ordered soup.

Very enjoyable day, celebrating twins 89th birthday. Staff were excellent and really helpful. The food was very good and no-one felt rushed. Thanks to the Glazert for making their day so enjoyable

Brilliant dinner. Many years ago our wedding reception was held here. Been back a few times for a bar meal, but not for a wee while. Went tonight for dinner. Absolutely lovely food. It won't be as long the next time

Just got married in the Glazert yesterday and had the most perfect day. Everything from the room setup, food, staff service and accommodation was outstanding. Beautiful grounds and amazing place to have wedding photographs. Thank you Paul, Debbie and staff for making our day so special - Sandra and David Hogarth

We had our wedding here, and it is owned by a lovely family. I t is set on a back road and is therefore very quiet and tranquil. The Hotel grounds are simply beautiful and there is a lovely area should you wish to eat out in the grounds. The Hotel itself is furnished to a very high standard. One of the owners was the master of ceremonies, and he made sure everyone knew who everyone was, he made the whole day plain sailing.

The food was awesome, tasty and we have went back loads of times for meals in the hotel since then. We stayed over after the wedding and we had a gorgous room with a spa bath and a four poster bed, it was bliss. I would recommend this Hotel, the staff give a 100% personel service, and the food is second to none, you will not be dissapointed.
