The Falcon Hotel

Excellent hotel stay with the family for two weeks. Really helpful staff from the manager, desk staff to the kitchen Staff and cleaners. Always polite and welcoming and went out of their way to help with any issues. They even modified a dressing table for me so I could better use as a computer desk when working from home during my stay. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Parking was always available and the breakfast was good. Last time I had this service was at a Five Star on a business trip (Oberoi Hotel in Delhi). It's not a five star hotel but the decor was good and the price was excellent for what you get. Highly recommended! (The Gurkha Palace restaurant next door is also excellent).

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Perfect breakfast no matter if you choose continental or full english. Some bathrooms are little tight but everything is clean. Tea and coffee making in all rooms possible, free WiFi.

It's probably fair to say the decor could do with updating but for a business stopover don't let that put you off! A friendly welcome and smile is just what you need. Best night's sleep I've had away recently in a clean and comfortable bed! And make sure you have the full English breakfast, quality sausage and bacon with freshly made scrambled eggs sets you up for the day. I will rebook the next time I'm at Head office.

Great breakfast. Nice breakfast area. Good old fashioned hotel living. Nice memory foam matress. Water might need a bit more pressure, but bath was lovely.

I have stayed 3 times and each time the staff have been friendly and helpful. No matter who is on the front desk the standard of care and attention to details is the same. Parking is free and there always seems to be availability. The rooms are very very clean and a good choice of breakfast, continental or cooked. Nearby there is a good choice of restaurants and a Coop.

When I return to the area the Falcon is my top choice. As a Business Coach I can see this independent business is getting it right. Not only a great customer experience but all the staff I have met, from catering, to cleaners to front of house everyone seems to be genuinely happy and pleased to be here Thank you for another great stay.

Friendly staff but that's about it. Tired rooms, rock hard beds, poor housekeeping, especially in the current covid situation. Leaking toilet waste pipe, stale urine smell and stained floor where they just mop it up. Shower curtain in a disgusting state. Duvet was too small for the bed.

Was told we got upgraded room to a supreme deluxe double room but omg it was so small if that was their supreme deluxe room then what is a standard double room supposed to be like. Bed was fairly comfortable but not great also the furniture is very out dated as is the decor. Shower had so little water pressure an even the hot water tap on the sink didn't work so basically had no hot water.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was alright. Unfortunately the hotel was so very hot so went to use the fan provided and it wasn't working properly an missing the oscillating function was missing. Tea an coffee provided in room was pretty standard although we got really small tea cups rather than a decent mug. The TV in the room worked but only if you didn't mind reading subtitles rather than hearing anything as the volume didn't actually work.

What can I say. This place was ok. There is plenty of parking on site. But if it is full there is street parking opposite. The receptionist was warm and welcoming. Very dated decor and in need of updating. The room - You can hear every single noise and there isn't one floorboard that doesn't creak. The shower head was disgusting and the carpet was soiled.

The furniture is antique and the room desperately needs updating. Breakfast - the options are limited so forget boiled, fried or poached eggs. You only get scrambled eggs. But they did have vegetable sausages and made them in the oven which was nice. This place could do a lot more but unless it's improved I'll be giving this place a miss next time.

In all honesty it didn't start well but the staff here were amazing at making the stay more than welcoming as it should be. This hotel is clearly an older one, but the staff done they're job as you'd expect from Any other hotel. So thank you to nisha and Sachin. The manager went out of his way to stay 3 hours later after his shift had ended to make sure the hotel was up to standard and provided everything that was needed for every guest.
