Very welcoming and pleasant staff, booked in three hours before arrival. Facilitated dinner at the last second. Food is gorgeous. Grounds are absolutely stunning. Lovely cottage style. Room slightly dated however lovely and you can see upgrades are happening. Appears to be a popular spot for us human and pooches alike. Ducks like to make an appearance, especially at meal times. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, including breakfast. The hotel facilities were lovely and the location is close enough to Bowness to make it easy to get to (10-15 minutes by car), but far enough away that you avoid the crowds. The standard of food was very good (though more veggie options and options for kids would always be welcome), and the staff were really helpful and attentive. I can see us coming back here again if we want to visit Windermere in the future.

Amazing place to stay in a tranquil setting. The hotel and grounds are lovely and the service is spot on, everyone was so friendly. We took our little dog and she was very welcome. The spa facilities are spot on and we had them to ourselves, despite the hotel being quite busy. The food is absolutely unreal, a hidden gem.

Nice hotel with an open fire welcoming you as you walk in & lovely staff. Plenty of parking by a large duck pond with some very friendly ducks because the hotel sell duck food! Swimming pool was great & changing rooms were spacious & clean, showers in changing rooms could do with updating though. The rooms were basic but had what you need. Only issue we had was noise from neighbouring rooms, could do with some sound proofing in the walls, could even hear normal conversations in next room which isn't ideal when you have a child who needs to go to sleep earlier.

I've written this in consideration of a three star hotel. The hotel is very affordable. It has a genuinely welcoming feel. There were 10 people and 5 dogs in our party which can sometimes lead to feeling like you're being tolerated but not here. The staff are friendly and the dogs feel welcome! The rooms are pleasant, nicely decorated and clean. The food was amazing and we're a party of mixed vegans, veggies and meat eaters!
It has a lovely reception area with super comfy sofas which was great for lounging around with a real log fire, we spent our evenings here playing games when there was space. It was beyond our expectations thank for a lovely stay!

It was a really nice hotel in the middle of nowhere with some gorgeous views. The rooms and the hotel was really cosy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful with anything we required. We had a dinner at the hotel. The chef went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with the food. We also did the spa treatments and everything was amazing! I will recommend this to anyone who is looking for a bit of break away from cities.
