We were here for a wedding. Nice venue. Staff were excellent. Good service from everyone. The rooms were lovely and very spacious. The only problem we had, was, someone came into right into our room as we were asleep at 1.30am then someone came to the door trying to get in after that. I never slept a wink after that as I was terrified someone else would come in. Complained to reception but they could offer no explanation as to how that could have happened! Ruined what was a nice day. I have marked the room down soley because of the incident otherwise it would have been 5 stars

Regularly visit with my elderly mum. Beautiful hotel set in lovely surroundings with an excellent staff team. Compliments to Paul the chef on his amazing cooking ( never fails to please) and Karen one of the waitresses who goes above and beyond to make our visit extremely enjoyable. We will definitely continue to visit.

Went with friends to the Jersey Tones tribute night. Food was lovely and the waiting staff were very efficient and friendly. Didn't get her name but the girl who appeared to be the restaurant manager was ensuring everyone was being looked after. She seems like a real asset to the hotel. Well done to all the staff. The Jersey Tones were great as was the DJ. Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms.

We stayed for one night for my husbands birthday and had a great time. The hotel decor is gorgeous- very modern! Our room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the food tasted very fresh. Karen on the breakfast service and Andrew on reception were so friendly, chatty and welcoming to us. We would definitely return to the Dalmeny in the future!

Second time I have been here and the food was great again. Very nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. Can easily be used as a, place for a birthday meal or celebratory drinks. Plenty of parking and easy to find. As well as main menu there is a plentiful daily menu to select from which is also easier on the wallet. Venue would work well for a catch up coffee or something more formal as they have other areas available. Would be good in the summer too as they have plenty of outdoor seating when needed.

Went for lunch to celebrate a 80th birthday, , we would like to thank all the lovely staff for making our lunch extra special, especially our waitress Norma. Excellent varied menu and not over priced, everything was delicious. Beautiful restaurant, both stylish and relaxing. We would highly recommend the Orchid restaurant and hope to be back again soon.

Amazing venue for a wedding, only a 10-15 minute walk (uphill) from the Barrhead train station or an even shorter walk from the bus stop. The house and grounds are gorgeous with lovely outdoor seating areas. It has a fantastic bar and function room and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Bar was well stocked and had great quality drinks and prices to reflect.
My only complaint, which really they can't do much about, is the proximity to a main road meant traffic sounds sometimes drowned out the celebrant as we were outside for the ceremony. But all in all a wonderful day and a fantastic place for a wedding.

We were at my cousin's wedding recently and the venue was perfect! Beautiful inside and out, the wedding guests moved between bars and ballrooms easily and there was plenty of space and staff to accommodate everyone. The huge glass windows, the outdoor seating and facade, Dalmeny park has it all. My parents stayed at the hotel and the room was luxurious and comfortable with a lovely breakfast and again, friendly and attentive staff.
The food was delicious and plentiful, the ambiance and seating well thought out and we just had such a fantastic time. The Dalmeny Park House Hotel made this beautiful day seem effortless.

We visited the Dalmeny hotel for a full day and night wedding and reception and then stayed overnight also. On arrival we found ample free parking amongst the beautiful grounds which actually feel quite secluded despite being just off a main road. The grounds we well kept with nice gardens etc and the exterior of the building looked beautiful. As for the wedding part of the day, it was great.
The ceremony room was done up beautifully by the hotel and then we moved to a larger room round the other side of the building for the meal and evening reception. The staff were friendly and quick at turning the room around for the evening time. The downside for me was the rooms and the prices. We paid 120 a night and this was a reduced rate as we were wedding guests.
From the website I believe the room should have been 175 a night! Even the 120 I paid I felt was too much was this hotel. Although the exterior is beautiful, the interior is dated and needs serious upgrades. The rooms aren't luxury, as you'd expect for the price but in fact quite dated. The water pressure in the showers was like a small trickle of water also.
When walking to the rooms, the long corridor smells like the kitchen below also which I don't think is right. All in all I wouldn't discourage people from going as it is a decent place but I would agree with the negative reviews regarding their prices, defiantly a bit exaggerated!

Came here for a wedding and it was great. I'll not review the food as the speeches over ran but gluten free me was catered for with all courses, and this included a bread roll. Great location, lovely grounds and makes for lovely photographs. Staff were friendly and helpful but service was a bit patchy at times during the meal service with having to chase things up. Rooms used for the ceremony and meal were great spaces.
I hadn't been to the venue before but if anyone wanted a wedding venue recommendation, I would tell them to have a look here. Drinks prices are in line with what you'd pay at any other hotel and I know guests staying, raved about the rooms with four poster beds.

You really wouldn't know this place existed until you stayed there. It's not a country house in my definition( as it's set in the back of an estate) but it retains some beautifully kept gardens and well maintained reception room. We bagged an absolute bargain via a late booking site -60 b&b in a 4 poster with garden views! Wonderfully comfy kingsize bed with tv, water and fruit.
It also had ( and this is rare in my travelling experience) a full length 6 foot long bath. Even a beanpole like me can stretch out. The staff are very attentive( not so that they are overbearing) and I felt disappointed for them that the place wasn't busier. For value, comfort and views it would be a 5 star. It loses one for me in that( and I'm being really picky now) it describes itself as country house but strictly isn't.
