Crown Hotel The Crown Hotel is situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley and is one of the few hotels in the Yorkshire Dales National Park which actually stands on the Pennine Way. It is centrally located amid the Yorkshire Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside. Some of the finest walking country anywhere in England. The Hotel is sheltered and faces south.
Services
To make your stay with us even more enjoyable, please check our local Ribblehead Weather Station. This information is crucial if you are attempting the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge (Hiking Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside within 12 hours), walking the The Ribble Way, or The Pennine Way. As the weather around Horton-in-Ribblesdale is very changeable, please come prepared.
The Crown Inn bar has just been redecorated but it still feels warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer. Our traditional Yorkshire bar is particularly attractive in the winter, when a log fire gives a welcoming glow in its unusual slate fireplace and surround. We serve Theakston's Old Peculiar, Black Sheep and guest beers. We have a varied wine list to complement meals and a selection of liqueurs and malt whiskies.

We stopped at The Crown Hotel for lunch after a walk. It was delicious, the garden is beautiful and the service was fantastic. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed for one night and that was enough The room would benefit from a good deep clean and some money spent on it to bring it up to a good standard the duvets and pillows were so thin and cheep We had an evening meal which was nice but we ordered a lovely bottle of white wine which was served to us at room temperature in a cooler 30 mins before it was anywhere near drinkable also one of the 2 glasses brought to drink out of was filthy and had to ask for a clean one Breakfast was cold apart from the eggs and poor quality The staff were very friendly but bar staff were unorganised and forgetful Would not stay here again

Was lovely, on arrival we were met by a great lad named Harrold, he served us drinks before showing us to the room. Hurt my knee on the foot board of the bed, limped for days. otherwise good

My Room was a little small and didn't have a mini fridge or microwave. The hotel staff was amazing, the city was tiny but felt homey and the people were amazing. Good area for great price.

Went for Sunday lunch. Accommodated 8 of us plus our dog at short notice. The staff were friendly & cheery, and, also working hard! This was a very busy Sunday lunch service for them but you wouldn't have known. Food delivered in a timely manner and delicious. Well done to all at The Crown!

Passed the place many times, or should I say passed the sign, but this time followed the lane and found a lovely pub and village. Only had time for a quick drink but the pub was busy and food was being served. Seemed to be full of locals.

We had a Boxing Day lunch here as a large family group with a baby. The food and drink selection, quantity and quality was excellent. The price was very reasonable. The decor was lovely and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It made for a very happy family occasion. Will definitely return.

Absolutely loved this place. Food, service everything was top notch. I stayed in the hotel for 1 night and the only negative for a business travel was no desk space to work if required. That aside you couldn't ask for anything else. One of the best nights sleep.

Lovely quiet location, nice ales in pub, lovely staff and food. Simple, clean, comfortable accommodation. Breakfast very nice, efficient service and warm and welcoming, to top it all reasonably priced.

Pretty poor all round I'm afraid. Only three beers on tap, and they all tasted like pipe cleaner. One of our starters went missing and the overall quality of the food was pretty dire. Not nice to make a fuss at the time when someone else is paying, but when you have all the above and then the overall bill is added up incorrectly, just a poor show all round. I'd go to the chippy over the road if I were you! One star reflects the fact I wouldn't go back.

We were delighted with "Swiss Cottage" - a charming period cottage we had for one night adjacent the pub/hotel. We had a great meal there in the evening and the breakfast service the next morning was spot on. Would love to visit again.
