The Craven Heifer is situated at the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and for over 200 years has served the needs of travellers. Its very first customers were the drovers bringing their livestock down the dale to market in Skipton and through to the present day it has retained its reputation for a warm welcome and exceptional hospitality.

Clean comfortable room, with a nice modern en suite. The breakfast was very tasty with a good choice of cereal and cooked food to order from. We had dinner one night and it was really good. All the staff we spoke to were fantastic, very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Thanks for a great stay and I would reccomend to anyone visiting the area.

Great location, lovely rooms large and spacious beautifully presented and the bed was very comfortable. Food amazing both dinner and breakfast and all the staff are friendly and very helpful. Very reasonable priced as well. A great find can't wait to go back. The only thing to make even better for me is to have a bath but the shower was good.

What a wonderful hotel, layout and location. The hotel grounds, bar, restaurant and my room was all clean. The outside eating area and gardens all well maintained. Very friendly, helpful staff with a warm welcome along with excellent food. Even catering deliciously for vegans with a great choice. Would thoroughly recommend to my family and friends. Well done.

I stayed at the Craven Heifer for three nights, I had a room in the main building and rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The food is very very good and all of the staff seem to work very hard and they have created a great atmosphere in a very lovely setting- I will definitely stay here again.

Our Daughter got us a wowcher deal for our Xmas present. Although the room was very nice and spacious, the staff were very friendly. It was a bit degrading when because it was a wowcher we couldn't eat in the dining room and it was a different menu and very limited choice. Apart from thet it is a lovely place to stay.

A great place to have a meal, lunch or dinner. We have been to the Craven Heifer a few times to eat and have always had a great time. The place is very clean and nicely decorated and the service is very friendly and approachable. The food we have eaten has been well cooked and presented nicely on the plate. It may be advisable to book as it is a popular place to eat.
