We have a great team here at Grassington House, with people who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. Our guests enjoy a relaxed and informal stay whilst they are here, but behind the scenes is a well-oiled and hardworking team, ensuring that every detail is catered for. Owners John and Sue Rudden are devoted to Grassington House, falling in love with the characterful Georgian building back in 2008.
Owner and chef John Rudden and his team prepare award-winning dishes, which focus on locally sourced and seasonally inspired ingredients, done the 'Grassington House way' - traditional luxury with a modern and eclectic twist. A regular AA Chef of the Year, John brings his state of the art kitchen to life, creating everything from traditional Sunday roast that features 14-hour slow roasted beef, to a fine dining gourmet dinner over five courses.
Grassington House Hotel is an elegantly built Georgian house, looking over the cobbled Grassington village square, it is one of Grassington's most notable buildings first established in 1750 as a private residence, later converted in early 1900's into a hotel, it has been lovingly restored by Sue & John Rudden whilst retaining many of its fine heritage features, but with a thoughtful Grassington House twist.
Whilst we are all about rest and relaxation, there's never a dull day at Grassington House, and we regularly prepare engaging events for our guests and the local Grassington community to enjoy. Whether it's a tasting here in the restaurant, a guest chef or an event out and about such as the Grassington Food and Drink Festival, a key part of the community here, we keep it interesting and get as involved as we possibly can. It is the turn of hard-working Dads to take the limelight, and we have a feast in store this Father's Day.

Beautiful Hotel in the gorgeous Village of Grassington. Had a lovely 2 night stay in The Square Room. Immaculately clean, very comfortable bed and lovely white fluffy towels and gorgeous bathroom products. The Sunday Lunch was amazing as were the Breakfasts. The attention to detail made all the difference. home made cookies in the room especially. Will definitely be returning

If you're looking for a special treat, then this is the place. The location, service and staff are top class. We were made so welcome on arrival and that never stopped the entire break. The room was amazing and spotlessly clean. Then you get to the food which is delicious and the presentation is second to non. We can't wait to return.

The afternoon sun was shining on the front of Grassington House, so we decided to stop for a drink to watch the world go by, a bit of people watching. A pint of Hetton Pale went down a treat, definitely cask quality. Had a gander at the menu and the open chicken sandwich with bacon and mango grabbed my attention. Absolutely delicious. Service from the owner was fantastic. Would love to come back for a night or two to check out the rooms and full English breakfast. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Amazing Hotel, the owner is such a fantastic lady. Warm welcome with the added complimenty fiz! Great venue with free car parking is a bonus. All the staff are so professional and welcoming. Had a dinner reservation and the food is out of this world. One of the best meals we have eaten in years Additional lovely touches of homemade cookies , Yorkshire Tea, fresh milk, bottled water and locally sourced toiletries. This is an absolute gem of a hotel Loved our stay and will definitely be back
