We had a room overlooking the river and not the road so that was really good. Room was comfortable with good ensuite shower. Breakfast was excellent with choice of continental or cooked. All staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly at reception where there was always advice on where to visit and how to get there. They really knew the area!

Very friendly hotel with attentive and chatty staff. Dinner is not served on Monday or Tuesday but local restaurants are great, particularly the Italian. Booking in advance almost essential in town. Lots of parking (unlike town centre hotels). Easy walk into town along the river. Decor and rooms are a little tired. Our bathroom window didn't close properly and the wooden windows were not very noise proof. Perfectly decent though. Recommended for a budget trip to this lovely town.

The Staff are very friendly informative and helpful. Breakfast and the room are good. Found the garden part by the river very disapointing, dead flowers in all the buckets and rubish behind the sitting area, was not very inviting to sit outside which is a shame as the location on the river has a nice setting. On the whole no complaints, for 1 or 2 nichts ok.

Great location, lovely large room. All staff so friendly and helpful. Very clean throughout, excellent parking. Only downside was that apart from the seating terrace, the outside area was in desperate need of a good tidy-up.

Nice modern hotel with comfortable bed. My room has a shower but no bath. Good 3 course dinner. Enjoyed the English breakfast too. Friendly staff. Easy to walk into Rye town.

Couldn't fault a thing. Warm welcome. Beautiful location. Clean, extremely comfortable room. Such friendly, kind and informative staff. Excellent breakfast. Best mushrooms, we've ever tasted. Cannot wait for an excuse to return.

Good food, decent setting. Very friendly staff, even took my order at 1700 for food when they officially start at 1800 so as not to lose the custom. We sat outside with our dog but inside setting looks fab to. Would recommend.

Lovely place right next to the river, breakfast is awesome. The bed was a bit hard but that's probably because we are used to a softer mattress. Booked on line had a very reasonable price for three nights.

Have given an extra star for the provision for disabled guests. Room was fine if utilitarian. Shower cubicle was a bit cramped but the water has hot and shower powerful. Although view is nicer than one of the car park, try and avoid rooms 21-22 (and possibly 20) as the extractor fan noise from the kitchen is loud from about 6.30am until end of breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the choices are limited but what they do is perfectly good, well cooked and service was as friendly and accommodating as anywhere. Having to leave key when going out was a surprise, haven't had to do that anywhere else in years but not really a problem. Having parking is helpful, it's easy enough to leave car there and walk in to town and I'd recommend that if possible.

Found online for an overnight stay in Rye. Very close to the town, clean, friendly and it's own parking. Our room overlooked the river. Just munched our way though huge and delicious breakfasts! Breakfast/bar area light and airy with access to outdoor terrace. Great value for money - we'd come here again!
