Young, very welcoming and friendly staff. The name of the hotel is very appropriate as it has fantastic views from the front of the building which is in keeping with the beautiful town. Our room was on the lower ground floor and the plumbing and a couple of the floorboards were a bit noisy. These were minor things considering everything else was so good.

Great place to stay in Rye. Big selling points are private carpark and far reaching views. Comfortable bed with quality bedding and towels. Good breakfast but a bit slow. Will return

Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Too many decorative bed pillows/cushions. When taken off the bed, we found they got in the way and turned our "cosy" room into a wackey warehouse. The double bed was also too small for 2 people. The shower curtain didn't cover the corners and allowed water to escape onto the bathroom floor. Beautiful view from our window. Would definitely recommend.

Came for afternoon tea, and despite the beautiful setting outside (weather permitting) and the attentive waiter the food was very disappointing. Afternoon tea is not difficult to do well and the quality of the food was truly poor. It could be one of the best spots in Rye if it improves the quality of the food, but for now it all felt quite dated and tired.

Lovely big room with individual decor. Loved the decor in the communal spaces. Food was excellent, had a fantastic massage and could not fault the friendly helpful staff. Great weekend away.

I could not recommend this beautiful hotel highly enough. Alex at the front desk helped me organise the most amazing surprise trip, he is the kindest, most generous man and surprised us with Prosecco and chocolate in the room and upgraded our room. He basically made our stay and went above and beyond! The room with the patio was stunning, the food was great and the decor was beautiful. 5*! Make sure you go :

We came here last week for an afternoon tea with my parents and the food was delicious. The restaurant was pretty quiet (we were there during a weekday) but Alan was very attentive to our needs. The food was absolutely incredible and was SO MUCH for one person. Definitely recommend for a nice afternoon out. We would happily return.

Absolutely wonderful stay at The Look Out. Our experience of the Bar was the best part, the Barman, Alan, went above and beyond to make my girlfriend and I smile! He also made an INCREDIBLE Vodka Martini. The room was a lot smaller than we were expecting for the cost of 150, it should probably be closer to the 100 mark, especially when parking is not included.

The breakfast was a 8/10, lost 2 points because we were not offered orange juice, which should be obvious, but the food was great. Was definitely more Guacamole not Avocado smash. Overall, great location, great staff, but room was a little overpriced. Especially because there was a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the door letting A LOT of light into the room, we had to barracade it with towels.

Had a lovely stay here. Staff lovely, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Room was excellent with a really comfortable huge bed. Breakfast was very good. Bear in mind that this is an older building so don't expect everything to be new and pristine. Very good value for money. Excellent location.

Very friendly staff, meals were very good, breakfast excellent. Bedroom quite spacious, floor boards creaked a lot, car parking at rear (additional charge) views were excellent.

The only good thing about this place is it's people. Almost every single member of the team was extremely friendly and helpful. But everything else was not. The standard double room was extremely small. The shower cubicle was insufficient even for a 3 year old child and the breakfast was quite poor with very limited options, no fruits and other general options you find on a breakfast menu.

Strongly request the hotel management to upload actual photos of the rooms and facilities, so that people know what to expect if they really wanted to book with you. Mention room sizes and provide a brief detail of the services. The only reason we would come back is the friendly people, that's only if we have no other option but to stay there. Wasn't a great holiday unfortunately.

Stayed here recently in a group of eight; two of us previously stayed a couple of years ago. We had a great stay. Comfortable rooms, really friendly service - made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The breakfasts were lovely, all freshly cooked. Ate dinner in the hotel one night and to be honest weren't expecting much as it's quite a small menu. However, without exception all the meals were fabulous. It's a shame the little hotel pool is no longer in use. Would be good to see it re-open. Great location in Rye and would recommend the Rye Walking Tour.

Lovely smart hotel and restaurant with a perfect gorgeous terrace for dining alfresco. Italian food is order of the day with home made pizzas and other quality dishes. Prosecco or cocktails are rather popular with the diners. Staff are very friendly too. The bar is well stocked. Alan the Batista can make you just the right cocktails to lift the mood.

It was our 6th time of staying & we have seen the changes over time but must admit our last visit was the best yet. The room we had was so elegant & comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble & all the staff were friendly, efficient & polite. Food in the evening was a new thing for us & we ate there both nights as what we had was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Meatballs had absolutely no taste, cheese was grated cheese from the supermarket or even cheaper. My girlfriend ordered pizza, which was dried and cold after 5 minutes. Such a shame that this beautiful village has such tourist traps.

Great hotel with pizza restaurant and bar on site. Very well designed and layed out rooms with high standards of cleanliness. Very impressed with the service and I would not hesitate in staying again. My room was a deluxe double and I would definitely return. It was spotlessly clean with everything a hotel should including built in iron with ironing board, en suite with bath and lots of space.

Nice desk which could be used for working & lovely outside terrace. Good WiFi suitable for business or Skype / Zoom with people anywhere. Very good service and value and I look forward to returning The breakfast was very good with lots of options and a cooked choice. Friendly and helpful team.

Eat in the restaurant - outside last night. Really want to praise Will who went out of his way to get us the perfect table when it became available. He is an absolute treasure. Truffle pizza was lovely. The perfect place.

We enjoyed staying at the Rye Lodge Hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly, our dealings via email were swift and efficient. We had breakfast which was just right. The room we had was at the rear. We had a view of the car park which at first may not seem like a good thing but at the rear of the property you don't get any traffic noise so a reasonable option if you're a light sleeper. The room we had was really nice, it's getting a little tired but the bed was really comfy and we slept like tops. Recommended.
