Beach House Hotel The Beach House Hotel is family run, and is praised for its relaxed "home from home" atmosphere, which the new found owners Malcolm and Hazel have striven to create. In its idealic location the hotel is set back from one of the most beautiful stretches of heritage coastline that Northumberland has to offer. The golden sands stretch to the neighbouring village of Bamburgh, where one of the most magnificent castles in England can be explored.
Services
Once a busy fishing port providing salted herring for the nations of Europe, the boats now predominantly land lobster, crab and shellfish for the local outlets and restaurants. The harbour is also the 'gateway to the Farne Islands' with a fleet of smaller craft offering services to tourists wishing to see the abundant bird and wildlife on the islands, in addition to one of the largest colonies of grey seals in the UK. A number of these operators also provide specialist trips for divers and those interested in photography or sea-angling.
Take a slight left at the B1342 after 2.4 miles and continue on Church Street for 0.1 miles. Turn right at St Aidan's Street and then turn right to stay on St Aidan's street and you will reach the Beach House Hotel. From Chathill Train Station (3.7 miles) The closest train station to Beach House Hotel is at Chathill (CHT). I was a single person in a single person's room and my room is adequate but it has no windows on the walls! Just a skylight. I do miss a window! The bed is super comfy and the breakfast ia amazing. The staff are all very polite and pleasant.

We picked a very busy bank holiday weekend so the hotel was full. Staff did their best but were busy. Breakfast room we felt was a little crammed, still food was good and hearty. Rooms were clean although beds were more domestic quality than hotel quality. Absolutely fine for a night or two.

Very clean and staff were lovely and friendly. Very dog friendly too. Rooms very small and least noise from next room could be heard, walls of yissue. Double room had queen size bed., so small Although decor good, fixtures and fittings were extremely poor quality. Shame

Excellent place lovely hotel room was ok but shower cubicle tiny shower head needs replacing as does the extremely noisy metal beds but the service made up for the issues tom was brilliant at breakfast and the other lad all the staff were excellent from check in to the lady in housekeeping and the lady who checked us out. Extra milk portions in your rooms would be good it takes at least 4 to make 1 coffee we got 2 each and no room top up or service next day we had to go ask constantly. Would definitely go back

Don't normally leave reviews I actually think this is my first one however felt I needed to get this off my chest, please do your research about where your staying, I'd only recommend this hotel if it was your last resort! First of all the hotel is way overpriced for what it is. The room was dirty, stains on the towels, dust and cobwebs everywhere.

I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed, mattress was virtually flat could feel everything, so we're the pillows too, had to use 4 pillows which didn't even feel like 2. Headboard loose with panelling missing. The noise from other rooms was just unbearable, you hear everything from snoring, arguing, tv, conversations and even people getting intimate up until hours of the early morning, so be prepared for a rubbish night sleep. Wifi is terrible, the tv is placed in a rather strange position so also be prepared to have neck ache as there wasn't anything else to do in the hotel as bar and restaurant closed.

Our breakfast experience was rather poor, me and my partner ordered a cup of coffee and a pot of tea, I never received my coffee after asking many times, juices were empty and didn't get refilled either. The full English wasn't anything to rave about sausage was hard and grisly, mushrooms same, poached egg was burnt never seen a burnt poached egg in my life always a first for everything, toast was like cardboard.

The service during breakfast was poor also, I appreciate that it's a busy time for them but the two men prioritising two young women and getting a flirt in rather than attending to your customers as well felt rather rude. On a positive note the young female receptionist was very kind and attentive! Oh and the shower was nice and warm Would I stay here again? Definitely not. Do your research and make sure you get your money's worth. Would have a better stay in a travel lodge or even better your own car.

Had a single night stay at short notice and am so pleased we found this gem. The staff couldn't have been nicer, rooms were really comfortable and clean, shared spaces were really welcoming too. The breakfast was fabulous and the hotel is right opposite the beach with superb views and lovely walks from the front door.
