Fabulous position. Staff wonderful. all of them. But the food less than ordinary. We didn't stay here ( well above our budget) but as we were staying nearby we thought we would treat ourselves to the fine dining experience promised. As a tease we thought we would try the bar menu one evening. My wife's chicken was dry and there was a wiry grey hair in it. not a great introduction.
My hake was perfectly cooked and tasty enough but the pile of non descript veg under it was a bit greasy. Ready to give it a second chance we tried the bar menu again a couple of days later. My wife's arancinni were pleasant but it was disappointing that when we asked if there was cheese in them the reply from the kitchen came that the chef didn't know because he hadn't made them.
I had thought that they would be made fresh and that a hotel like this would understand the allergy protocols. The ham hock rissoles that I had were simply dreadful.mushy, odd-tasting and very little evidence of ham, with a pile of picallili that dominated the plate. We cancelled our booking for the main menu and saved ourselves quite a bit. I'm sure the hotel is very pleasant to stay in but the restaurant has ambitions way above its capabilities.

We had an excellent long weekend here. Just perfect. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and understanding to our needs. I lost my brother a few months ago and we were having his celebration of life down the road in the paris Hotel. We even had a lift down to the paris hotel. And was upgraded to a beautiful room. With a sea view. We couldn't have asked for better service.
Especially Sally and Michelle who really went the extra mile to make our stay extra special.we came home late one day a d the chef had goen home but Sally made us a wonderful cheese board as I was starving. Thar was really appreciated Michelle was always kind a d and understanding too. The food was excellent. The roo. Was amazing with a super view.
Perfect location we didn't want to leave. Breakfast was fabulous each morning aswell. Would highly recommend This Hotel. Couldn't fault it at all. so thank you so much to all the wonderful staff. Will definitely visit again. Parking was and access was good aswell.

Extremely accommodating, had a problem with booking to which they responded with a a free upgrade in room for the hassle caused, very nice gesture! A breakfast to die for! Compliments to the chef, rooms very cosy and gorgeous views! Overall a wonderful experience, and also very dog friendly, treats, towel and doggy magazine displayed for your furry friend!

Myself, My wife and our dog recently stayed here for 2 nights and were thoroughly impressed. Friendly staff, lovely food, great rooms. Tilly ( our dog ) received lots of attention from the staff which she absolutely loved. We would happily return here in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for a dog friendly stay.

My partner and I stayed here in october in room 15. It was meant to be the highlight of our stay but unfortunately for us it didn't meet expectations. Issues with the shower and overall water pressure only to be told there was an airlock we weren't informed of, a lack of heating on arrival and no explanation how to turn it on, a dead fly on the bathroom windowsill and worst of all the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied.
Although the bin was then cleaned after we notified them, this and the other issues left us very disappointed in particular as this not very covid friendly and made us worry about the cleanliness in the rest of the room. There was also a rip in the duvet cover at the top which wasn't very pleasant either. Its such a shame because this could be such a fantastic spot, and for the money we paid, we were extremely disappointed and it left us feeling very underwhelmed and over charged.
I don't usually like to complain but I hope this constructive criticism is useful for you. The hotel is clearly trying to be upmarket but certain obvious areas are letting it down such as the furniture in the lounge room which is rather crude and unattractive in what could be a spectacular room with stunning views. Also my partner mentioned with his full english breakfast he received pork belly instead of bacon.
You can't go wrong with bacon and he was really miffed by this. I however really enjoyed my pain perdu for breakfast! Just trying to provide honest feedback in the hope it can help you to improve going forward.

Stunning location. The Spanish waiter was fantastic - Basil would be proud! The view from our suite was incredible. However the decor was a little bland and could be easily made more boutique style with a few modifications. There was a lot of door slamming noise throughout our stay - this could be rectified by the hotel. Breakfast was incredible - ten out of ten!

We stayed at the Bay Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was excellent. The rooms & beds were very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, friendly & helpful, especially the reception staff. The breakfasts were delicious & kept us going all day, no need for lunch! We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a special treat of an evening meal in the restaurant. It was amazing. Every course was delicous & presented at a Michelin standard. We would recommend to all our family & friends for a relaxing get away.

The friendliest staff in a hotel, ever! The food is top restaurant quality, the views straight over the gardens to the sea are charming and peaceful. We came for four nights as a post-summer holiday and we're blessed with sunny weather, nice for a walk or photography. Highly recommended for a stay in Cornwall. NB if you have dogs they are very accommodating, but I was never bothered by any other guests' animals so the practicalities here are arranged very well.

Stopped on three separate occasions to just sit in the garden with a tea or coffee. On each occasion the tea or coffee has been weak or wishy washy and not up to hotel standards. Cannot fault the staff or the wonderful views out to sea from the garden but shame about the drinks as they were disappointing.

We stayed at The Bay Hotel for two nights in July and it was the most perfect stay. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond and provided incredible service throughout our stay. I have never been. anywhere previously with such friendly and attentive staff. The food with impeccable served and cooked to perfection with the flavour being perfect.
Throughout the stay there was no fault with the breakfast, afternoon tea or 3-course dinner, we were hugely impressed. The view from the terrace is beautiful no matter what time of day, with a very peaceful surrounding, even in the 'peak' season! There is a large selection of rooms available each to their own, our room was even nicer than the photos that it was advertised with (nice little surprise!). We cant wait to return and spend more time. It's the best-hidden gem we've come across! Thank you for making our stay so perfect.

A very lovely hotel. The receptionists are very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful seaviews. The rooms are very, very nice. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Nice showers. Very quiet and relaxing. The little village of Coverack is a short easy walk from the hotel. The restaurant tables are arranged so all get the Seaview. The food is excellent!. The wait servers are the best!
A specialty dessert is the roasted fig with blue Cornish custard and celery! Absolutely delicious AND healthy! If you are looking for a lovely, quaint hotel the Bay Hotel is the place for you.
