We had our wedding at the Polurrian on 19th February and we couldn't have been happier with the hotel and everyone involved who made the whole weekend so special! Megan, the events and wedding coordinator was excellent from the initial consultation right through to the day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and she made it a stress-free, enjoyable experience to plan leading up to the day.
We had a lot of guests traveling from across the country, but she made the booking process so easy and all of our guests where pleased with the hotel and its facilities once they arrived. Storm Eunice as was uninvited guest on the day, causing a power cut half way through the wedding breakfast, meaning the food was disrupted, there was no electricity or hot water and the evening food was no longer possible. Megan was so discreet in telling us and found solutions to all the problems for us with minimum disruption to our guests and the order of the day.
Her and the waiting, bar and kitchen staff rallied round and made sure we still had the best day. We ended up with the most romantic, candlelit reception, and still had an evening buffet for all our guests. The staff were incredible and worked so hard to ensure we were happy with our day. The venue was sensational, and Megan made sure all the supplier were organized, taking the stress away from us on the day.
I cannot recommend the hotel, Megan and every single member of staff at the Polurrian, who made us all feel so welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams. It wasn't what we planned, but thanks to the resilience of the team at the Polurrian, it was one we will treasure for ever. If you are looking for a hotel who really cares about their guests, the Polurrian is for you. Thank you to everyone, we will certainly be back for our anniversary, but will definitely keep returning to such a special place.

We went for afternoon tea which was a Christmas present from or Daughter and Son in law. We had a table with the most wonderful view and our tea was lovely. Finger sandwiches and a lovely cream tea with warm scones and small cakes. The Hotel is elegant and the staff were friendly and attentive. A real treat and highly recommended.

The Polurrian hotel is a very convivial place to stay with its spacious rooms and comfy beds with quality linen, make for a restful nights sleep. The lounge rooms with an eclectic mix of furniture are a delight, we like the varied lighting shades in the whole hotel, the bistro style dining was delivered speedy by efficient staff.

Really nice chilled hotel. Great for families with dogs. Separate room for children in garden suite to let the dog out made our weekend a very relaxing one. Friendly and very helpful staff. No charging for cars but they plugin through window. It's time they install a charging point. The beach is a stone throw away. Lovely stay. We'll be back.

I recommend this hotel because the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large nice and warm because it is January. Food is very good. A lot of different types of drinks at bar. The car parking is free. Disabled friendly. There is Two rooms that you get away from what going on. A pool in one room. There is disabled toilets on the lower floors.

A great hotel for an English short break. Good food, facilities and accommodation. Plenty of different lounges and rooms to sit and while away the hours. Small gym and pool. Tennis courts, outdoor playground and outdoor pool. Great access to coastal paths to the Lizard and Mullion Cove. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We spent a week there just a couple of weeks ago, we had a fantastic time. Staff were so friendly and helpful from Maggie and the girls on the front desk, to Lynette and all the waiting staff in the bar and restaurant. Pool area and jacuzzi were lovely and although you had to book this was no problem Views are to die for and plenty of great walks to explore. Yes the bedrooms could do with a freshen up but this certainly did not spoil our enjoyment. Thanks everyone.

Impressive looking hotel in great location overlooking Polurrian Cove on the Lizard. Owned (since Mar '08) by the same family that runs the 4 star Treglos Hotel at Constantine Bay near Padstow, this is a friendly and informal hotel. It would seem that the Barlow family are still investing money in the Polurrain - perhaps to gain that extra star.
At the time we were there, they were carrying out work improving the leisure suite - the hotel has indoor and outdoor pools as well as a pool table, jacuzzi, beauty treatment rooms etc. The food is plentiful and of a good standard (important) and is served in an attractive restaurant overlooking Mounts Bay. The adjacent bar has comfortable soft furnished sofas and armchairs or if you wish you can watch the sun go down over the horizon.
The rooms are well appointed and well furnished and staff friendly and helpful. The coastal path runs close by and Polurrian Cove is about 10 minutes walk away. The cove has an excellent sandy beach and as the nearest public parking is some distance away it doesn't get too over crowded. It is, however, a fair climb back up to the hotel from the beach at the end of the day.
