Housel Bay Hotel The actions we take in the restaurants are not forced, but more of a reflection of the way in which we choose to live. Respectful of our surroundings, location, and immersive lifestyle for which Cornwall is treasured. We value celebrating seasonal ingredients here at Housel Bay. Not only does eating with the seasons support environmental sustainability, but you really can taste of the difference in quality by eating local, in season produce. We are lucky here at the Lizard, to have a plethora of stunning produce, from the sea and the fields.
Services
All of our rooms have comfy beds, en-suite bathrooms, and Smart TVs. Some rooms are newly refurbished, with a contemporary design, and others include original Victorian features. We are slowly rolling out a refurb across all of the traditional rooms. There is free high-speed wifi available throughout the hotel.
Our love for our natural surroundings and local heritage, inspires everything we do here at Housel Bay. Enjoy a piece of Housel at home with our delicious 'Housel Granola.' Or welcome in a taste of some of the top quality local independents from the Lizard, such as our local 'Cornish Honey'. We also have a variety of 'Gift Cards' for your favourite Housel Bay experiences. These can also be tailor made just to your liking.

Just back from a fantastic week - and hope to stay there again: Isn't and doesn't pretend to be a 5* luxury hotel, go there for what it is including its unrivalled scenic location. We had a celebration afternoon tea served outside whilst looking over amazing rocky cliff and sea-scape views. Good choices on breakfast and dinner menus, friendly and helpful staff.

Location is spectacular. The views are to die for. The rooms do need some work, but you are only there to bathe and sleep. Try the Fallowfields Restaurant on site. Its Michelin star food.

Stunning location. Beautiful coastline and walks. Gorgeous food. We had a lovely sea view but the room needed updating, shower screen seal in room 20 was black. Needs replacing. Other than that, our stay was perfect.

Firstly the staff, so professional and convivial. My room was lovely, I had room 24. The partial sea view was great still, looking over the cliffs and lighthouse. Lovely. My room was immaculate, very clean and all recently refurbished. The hotel is a gem, would definitely stay again.

Spent two nights at Housel Bay Hotel. Perched on the tip of the Lizard, the scenery is breath-taking. The hotel itself was fine and accommodating. Our room was small but clean with wonderful views overlooking the sea. The service was professional and helpful and all the staff were friendly. It was the perfect base for visiting the surrounding area.

Beautiful setting and a wonderful hotel. Such a welcoming team, beautiful room and the food is the best meal out I have had in years. During our stay we had an evening meal in the terrace which was just amazing, then the breakfast was lovely and even the cream tea was enjoyed. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic Winter break! Great Location, Loved the Room, Bar & Food while all staff were excellent! Having lived on the North Cornwall Coast for many Years and after walking over 250 Miles of the SW Coastal Path I can honestly say that the walk from the Hotel to Mullion Cove was without doubt the best 8 Miles so far, unspoilt natural beauty! Then, just when we thought it couldn't get any better, on the Cliffs above Mullion, just before we dropped down into the Cove, we saw our first ever pair of Cornish Choughs! Fantastic!

We had a fantastic stay - definitely worth paying extra to stay in a panoramic room, the view was amazing day & night too. We treated ourselves to the tasting menu - sensational food and very nice wines with it. We went to bed very full & definitely a bit tipsy! Fabulous breakfast to finish our stay off. All the staff were lovely & friendly, location is just perfect, will definitely be back!

The Housel Bay Hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and professional, especially in the restaurant! The hotel itself is lovely however I do feel the rooms are dated and could do with freshening up/ modernising. I really feel like this is the only thing I can mark them down for (I would happily give 4 1/2 stars) The setting is stunning and having a sea view room made up for the room. The rooms are also very clean. We can't wait to visit again.
