I cannot fault the customer service here. Bianca, the assistant manager who looked after us, couldn't do enough. Nothing was too much trouble. She and the other staff we met were so polite and helpful I would award them 5*+. Overall I have given the hotel a 4. We stayed in the Grand Suite and it's gorgeous (although the wallpaper is a little questionable!) We will definitely return when we're back in Bath.

What a wonderful hotel.situated so close to the City everything is within a small walking distance. Stayed in the Grand suite which was first class and luxurious. The staff are very friendly and professional and the breakfast is very good. a mixed variety to choose from.will always stay here when in Bath.

Firstly all the staff were amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. Giving tips on the best route into town and offering a map was really helpful, thanks again. Good location being about 5-10 min walk from the centre. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade on my room (Zen) which was large and had plenty of space. I liked the fact it had an off site entrance and the garden views were pleasant. Shower was warming & powerful while the bed was comfy. Breakfast was perfect on both days, very good quality ingredients. Wonderful stay and would love to return!

I stayed here for only one night at the Empire room. The decoration is absolutely beautiful. Some items require a bit of update but overall this was a very comfortable room. The breakfast was also nice with an English Breakfast menu. However, what stroke me the most was the professionalism and simpathy of the staff. Everyone was so genuinely nice, which is rare to find in hospitality service these days.

This guesthouse is lovely. It's elegantly decorated and has some lovely period details. I would highly recommend a stay here, it has a great garden and location. The best thing about the Arlington is the staff. They are really helpful and friendly and make you feel very welcome. to top it off there is free parking!

The hotel was very nice and the young lady in reception was very friendly. Only problem was at breakfast we had to wait in the lounge for a table even though we were given a time to have breakfast and we were on time once we got a table the breakfast was fine. Also the parking is a bit of a nightmare. The room was fine once I jammed cardboard in the the sash windows to stop them rattling it was a strong wind.

We stayed for three nights, first in the Empire room and then the Abbey room. From the get go Bianca welcomed us and treated us as if we were the only guests in the hotel, we definitely were not. It was just the way she treated everyone. She was extremely helpful and gave us tips and directions to the best spas and restaurants. Johnny was equally as friendly and helpful when we came in in the morning evenings.
The Arlyington is a traditional, old fashioned British hotel. It reminded me of some the places I went to 30 years ago. My sister and I marvelled and the bar contente, which reminded us of facourite tipples when much younger. Breakfast was lovely and is taken in the breakfast room overlooking a lovely garden and bowling green. And the bonus is that it is within walking distance of Bath's bustling city centre and tourist attractions. This was my birthday treat and I had a wonderful experience, thanks to Bianca and her great tips for places to visit. My sister and I will be back for sure.

We stopped at The Ayrlington during October half term, the hotel was easy to find and we were able to park on site before checking in meaning we didn't have to find and pay for parking whilst sightseeing in Bath. The hotel is in a great location and only a short 5/10minute walk to all the must see attractions. After exploring Bath for a few hours we returned to check in, the reception staff were polite and helpful.
We stayed on the top floor in the 'Poppy' room. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated, it had some really nice touches includes, tea/coffee, biscuits, water, shower gels, it even had shower caps which was such a useful addition. The bathroom was particularly modern and a real asset of the room. Breakfast in the dining room was pleasant with a good choice of options (English, continental, smoked salmon etc).
The bedroom had a couple of plaster patches/marks which needing touching up, this didn't effect our stay, however would improve the image of the hotel. Overall this was a great stay which we would recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay there. It's location was convenient, in that we just needed to walk a mere 7-10 minutes to the downtown area, the Abbey, the Roman Baths, and a really lovely Nepalese place to eat. We really enjoyed returning to the hotel after dinner and having a pimms in the lounge (which was a first for my wife) while chatting with other guests doing the same.
The breakfast was quite nice the next morning. The only negative we found was that on the day we were there was a heat wave and no AC in the room. Our lovely view had to be shaded in the afternoon when the sun was beating through the window. And the bed was small, yet firm, which I've found in England to be the norm. I'd definitely go back. Just next time I'll ask if they have a King bed in any of the rooms, as I'm a big guy.

I used to work here and it was honestly one of the best jobs I've had. The super nice owners are always willing to have a chat to both their staff and guests. In fact, it's the sense of personal touch that really sets this place apart. The large town house has eight rooms, so make sure you book in advance to be sure of a room in the peak seasons, and is full of the most gorgeous Eastern paintings, statues and other trinkets - one of the owners is Chinese and heavily into Buddhist philosophy and the like. There is a bar in the main lounge area that's perfect for a relaxing drink or two either when heading out or coming back in to rest. Honestly, this place is great.

This is an insider tip to everyone who'd like to treat themselves to something special. The small hotel is 5 minutes walk from the city center, but on a quieter part of town. It has a wonderful interior in an Asian-British type of style, each room having a different theme. A well made English-Breakfast was served in the morning, all staff being very friendly and helpful. Do book well in advance, as week-ends tend to be full.
