Ashfield House is a bed and breakfast located in the charming town of Grassington, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Although a small market 'town', locals fondly refer to Grassington as a 'village' as it retains a close community and still feels part of a bygone age. When you first arrive in this delightful stepping stone to the Dales, it is hard not to be captivated by its timeless appeal. Set on the River Wharfe and surrounded by ancient woodland, Grassington is ideal for walking, fishing and cycling.
We invite you to help yourself to our breakfast bar (including dried fruits, mixed seeds, mixed nuts, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juice etc.) We will serve to you, alongside freshly brewed coffee or Yorkshire tea, your choice from the following. We politely request you to make any dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances known upon arrival.

Really nice house, well decorated, comfortable, staff were excellent. Great location although if you have a large car parking round the back could be tricky. Breakfast was lovely, my wife loved the yogurt Berry pot. We ate at the Devonshire Inn which is literally 60 seconds walk away. Prebook you table well in advance, ie weeks. Food was great

Lovely place to stay with a really great breakfast, friendly owner and lovely staff. Our room was number 6 which was a very small double with no space and felt crampt. In bathroom toilet right next to radiator, you could not avoid touching radiator when sitting as it is that close so burnt yourself when it's on( we just turned it off for our stay as it was safer) as room really warm anyway. Really lovely place and wonderful area.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in early September, the first stop on our Yorkshire honeymoon. This was the perfect place to start. Just off the main Grassington square with parking, it's a perfect place to base yourself for a trip around the Dales. The BnB is beautiful and relaxing, our room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic, a proper breakfast to start the day of right travelling around the Dales. The staff were attentive and so friendly, made you feel at home.

We received a very friendly welcome, we were presented with a very clean and tastefully furnished room with ample supplies, our room overlooked the garden, which the garden leaves you feeling like you must try harder at home! Absolutely beautiful, we woke to the sound of birdsong and we then served the most delicious breakfast with quality meat and well cooked eggs!
The parking is secure and it's just off the main village. Really couldn't rate this highly enough, the owners clearly have an eye for detail and ensuring that their guests are well catered for. If you pay a little more than others, I would recommend going for it, worth the investment. Thank you very much for a lovely couple of days James
