Arundell Arms Hotel The Arundell Arms exudes warmth and comfort -- not only in the sitting room but in the bar with its buzz of talk about the events of the day, in the bedrooms with their private bathrooms, colour television, direct dial telephones, and in small thoughtful things such as the home-made chocolates placed in the sitting room for the guests after dinner and the bowls of fresh flowers everywhere.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant Cozy, lovely and reasonably priced farm shop. Visited Day1 and Day7 of the farm shop. Excellent customer care and great choices for all products including wine. Hotel is a state of art. Luxurious and using green energy- a rare combination. Credit goes to Simon- the entrepreneur and his team. I would be there again.

This is a very nicely run, friendly and comfortable place to stay. We were two couples enjoying a few days down in Devon and staying at this famous fishing hotel came up to all our expectations. The food is excellent and well priced, the staff without exception were helpful and friendly, particularly the owner, and we shall certainly be back when we can. Thank you for a memorable stay!

I've had to remove my 5 star review. The Arundell is not what it used to be - after years of visiting, it looks like the service and quality has taken a nose dive. I did email before writing this review - but got no response.

Came here for an anniversary meal and the service was the best I have ever experienced not to mention the delightful food. As a vegan it is hard finding places to eat but the cook specially crafted a delicious mousse dessert just for me. Overall it was a magical night and I would highly recommend eating here.

Well, where to start? This beautifully revamped institution has it all.wonderful rooms, a great atmosphere, seriously welcoming staff and owners and the FOOD! Absolutely delicious. All local produce, freshly baked bread and pastries, (my favourite was the wonderful afternoon tea beautifully presented, all home made) and fabulous wines. The deli sells great coffee and to-die-for home made pasties and sausage rolls/pies etc to lucky Tesla drivers as they recharge!

You don't have to fish to stay here but if you do you are in for a treat.miles and miles of lovely fishing and a cool tackle shop in a converted old cockpit in the garden with on - hand experts to give you all the tips and hints! Perfection.

We came here for a big family celebration dinner while in the area for holiday. It was a great experience, for both adults and children. The staff were very friendly, the main dining room spacious and well lit by windows with views across the garden, and the whole experience very relaxed and unpretentious. The food was really delicious - the puddings especially fabulous - and when catering for vegans they went out of their way to create five mains and three pudding options (as a large group we had to order in advance), with the vegan meals all reported to be delicious, especially a vegan dark chocolate mousse which was so lovely it was passed around the table to dabble.

Our six year old was able to order from the more down-to-earth bar menu, as well as to explore the garden and newt-stocked pond between courses, while there was plenty of space for her to work on some drawings at the table.
