The Horn Of Plenty

We recently got married at The Horn of Plenty, having a small late afternoon ceremony and dinner. From beginning to end, we all had the most wonderful time - fantastic surroundings, delicious food, and great service. If you like fine dining, a well-stocked bar, fabulous views and well-styled interiors - this place has it all!

My partner and I stayed for less than 12 hours. Arriving late and leaving after breakfast to collect a puppy. However we were greeted with a smile from Matt and set up with a lovely room to rest and recuperate from. Breakfast was most relaxing and breakfast staff were very attentive. We collected puppy and made it back to the south east safely and will definitely be returning for a longer stay.with the dog!

A very charming small country hotel. Staff friendly and obliging. Food excellent, though dissappointed in no change of menu for the two nights we were staying. Atmosphere very quiet, no fires lit, and by 9.30pm the place was empty. Would we go again, probably not. We like hotels with a more 'coming and going' atmosphere.

Delicious meal complimented by gorgeous view of Dartmoor Hills and sunset. Super romantic. Would definitely recommend and go again. Good value for money and quality of food and service was excellent.

What a lovely place - we called in on the off chance for tea and scones, we were lucky that they had some of their freshly made scones left - delicious! Shame that some prat in the car park damaged all down the drivers side of our hire car as they exited their car parking space, didn't even have the courtesy to let us or the hotel know

We recently got married at the Horn of Plenty and had the most perfect day. A truly memorable and amazing venue. The whole team made us feel so welcome and nothing was an issue. From the initial look around to the day itself the communication and attention to detail was excellent. Shirna and Mia were very accommodating with all aspects of our day, especially the last minute changes in the week leading up to the wedding.

The food was delicious and we had many compliments from our guests. We weren't limited to a 'set menu' like menu wedding venues. We were able to sit down with Ashley the head chef and design a bespoke menu based around our favourite foods which was a lovely personal touch. The hotel rooms are lovely, all with individual character and very clean. We will definitely be back to stay for our anniversary. Big thank you to the whole team at the Horn of Plenty for making our wedding so special.

We did go on a very sunny, very warm day and had a fabulous place to sit. But. The scones, jam and clotted cream really were to die for. And then the tea to wash them down with. And then - the lovely service, how welcoming and warm. Just go - you will enjoy.

We had a main house room. Large and well appointed but if I am honest looking a little dated. The big plus however was the food - evening tasting menu was excellent, and overall value of stay and food was good.

Very clean hotel and staff were very friendly. We had breakfast and afternoon tea, both of which were great. However, we stayed in one of the ground floor rooms of the coach house and we could very clearly hear the people above us moving around and snoring in the night which dampened the stay slightly

Very good food. Friendly staff. Comfortable lounge and library. Well appointed bedrooms. Great view from the dining room. Terrace seating for when the weather is better. Relaxed, but smart, dress code adopted by clientele. Adequate car parking. Some rooms in adjacent building but plenty of umbrellas available. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food, friendly and welcoming staff, and a spotlessly clean establishment. Do not hesitate to visit! Huge thanks to all the staff

Such an enchanting evening spent here for our 26th Wedding anniversary meal last night. The food was superb, the house looked magical and the waitress who served us was so lovely and kind. Thank you for making our special evening so memorable for us. :) :)

Attended a wedding there, stunning beautiful views, staff were helpful and very friendly and the food was absolutely gorgeous, also had a room for the night which was lovely and clean and comfortable, I'd give this more stars if I could

Everything about our stay was exceptional, without doubt one of the best stays we've had all due to the amazing staff, food and the most comfortable bed. Highly recommended, we will definitely be staying there again.

The food is beautifully presented and of a very high standard. I highly recommend it. Set in a beautiful tranquil area. Lovely views and excellent service.

Beautifully presented food. Very tasty. Tiny portions, maybe have a sandwich beforehand. Pimms was a good drink and generous size. Canapes with drink were unexpected and very good. Our large group could not buy a glass of wine at table, only bottles. Eventually waitress relented. An enjoyable visit.

Lucky enough to get married here and it is simply stunning. Ourselves and our guests were all so impressed. The photos really do not do it enough justice, you have to see it for yourselves. The food was incredible. Rooms were super clean and beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional. You can see why they have won awards. They certainly deserve them.
