Magical experience - Great, personal and charming reception. Beautiful location with plenty of walking trails. Aside from the formal dining they accommodated young children well. They did setup two air mattresses for the kids though, which worked out fine but was a bit unexpected. Worth the drive and the price, wish I had booked more days.

Very misty location with great view and a wonderfull park area. Staff was very friendly. We felt a bit like in a Agatha Christie book which was a nice experience. The chef directly reacted to vegetarian questions with good alternatives, so dont be shy to ask. Only downside for me was the water quality, smelt a bit strange, was yellowish with a oily film on bit, which is i think normal for such an old building.

Love this place! So stylish. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great food. Worth the single track road to get there. However well signposted passing places and plentiful. Hotel is a treasure trove of lovely objects. Great views from hotel and quirky items surrounding gardens. Unforgettable.

We loved the quirkiness of this beautiful old hotel set in the midst of acres of beautiful scenery overlooking the loch. It offers walks through the gardens and surrounding national park, and even if miles down a one track road with passing places, it's within 30-40 minutes away from beautiful Oban. The staff are excellent, friendly, efficient, and helpful. The breakfast delicious and the food at dinner was also fabulous!

We visited the hotel today and had such lovely afternoon. We didn't realise that the afternoon tea needs to be booked 24 hours in advance so we had a light lunch instead. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were there with our 2 little girls and they also really enjoyed their time there. We walked around the hotel and wish we could spend more time there as the grounds are amazing with many beautiful paths through gardens and forest area. We will definitely come back here next time!
