After driving past this hotel/restaurant a few times during our stay in this area, we decided to pop in to see if there was a table available for us and our two dogs. The staff were very friendly and showed us to a table outside. The service was excellent and food was great. Really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return.

Absolutely spot on brilliant. Lovely warm welcome awaited us, 2 adults 2 . It was a home from home, comfy separate TV lounge, beautiful homely bedroom both with amazing views of the countryside. Coffee/tea facilities, Excellent choices for bfast and dinner. Outside dinning or just sit with a drink and take in the beauty all around with heaters to keep you cozy.
Our "Tay" room on the ground floor has a well used door opening to large enclosed garden perfect for our 2 . Week, by Aberfeldy is an excellent choice to tour Perthshire with its many lovely villages, walks to waterfalls or hills for more amazing views. I would suggest autumn as the best time of year to soak in the colours.

A family favourite dining experience, Ailean Chraggan has never disappointed in whatever season we have visited. The Inn is small, comfortable and welcoming with a stunning view of the hills. The food is always fresh, tasty and well presented and portion sizes more than generous. Extremely good value for money. We will be back!

Booked before the corona virus lock down. A room with breakfast on booking.com No contact from Hotel when we were due to stay, to say it was open or closed due to pandemic. We called several times then just before was told it was open, why shouldn't it be. On check in we were then told we didn't have breakfast and could we show proof we booked it with breakfast. Showed them proof then to be told no sorry.
We should of been told of this. The room was basic but that wasn't the problem. We wouldn't of bothered with it if there was no breakfast, as was sold to us with. Overall feel we was taken for a ride. If contacted we would of had the rights to cancel.

Been woken up at 1am as somebody decided to break through the back door and absolutely no staff to take actions. They have literally kicked the door in and broke the lock. We had a long flight in the morning and could not sleep as we were all shaken up. Called the phone number from booking.com and been asked by a lady to go out of the room and check whats happened as she obviously was not in the building.

Very expensive for that it offers. Very small room and old. Internet is not available in room. Doors squeak and slam when open and close. Walls are super thin and you hear all noises in other rooms and hall. Breakfast is good and you have some choises to made. Parking is in front of hotel but with video camera. Pillows are not fresh. Breakfast is english breakfast.

I have stayed at the Kings Paget, many times over the last six years and it has always been a pleasure to visit this hotel. The staff are fantastic, accommodation clean and well maintained, and the breakfast is wonderful. This is a well managed, established hotel, that never disappoints, and is one that I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Right lets start by saying this is rated a 3 star hotel, so what was it like? Well we stayed mid week as place to stay after a day in london. Yes in places its a little dated and some might say tired. But our room was spotless, big had a bath and shower that was clean and tidy and the beds were comfy and clean.what more could we ask.oh it was 40 for the 2 of us.
Station is 10 minute walk or 3 minute cab ride away. We didn't have breakfast but others have praised it. We would return for a no frills night near London or if using Heathrow.

The Hotel overall is okay. Good location 2 minutes from the bus and 15 to the nearest train station. Staff were friendly and helpful and on hand to answer questions you may have. The room was okay, but there was clear signs of dirt in some places such as the shower and the mini fridge. The pillows on the bed were very firm to the point I ended up not using them.
In the morning a free breakfast was provided, the selection of food while good could do with some improvements when compared to other places in the area. So overall the hotel is good for the price but could do with some improvements

Couldn't find a place to eat in Aberfeldy so drove a mile to Ailean Chraggan based on a recommendation from on the overbooked restaurants. Great dinner and wonderful service! Our party had venison roast, braised ox cheeks, pork belly, salmon cake. For dessert we shared a sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee. End of a very nice day touring the area.

Fab roast dinner! We were in search of a good country pub roast dinner whilst staying near Loch Rannoch, and we were not disappointed! 2 friends are vegetarian and we also had 2 dogs - we called quite a few pubs in Aberfeldy and Weem area and no one seemed to offer a veggie a roast option, however the Ailean Chraggan Hotel did accommodate us making up a fabulous veggie plate which even rivaled the meat option! Dogs are allowing in the bar but not in the dinning room - staff we really friendly and brought them a bowl of water.
The place has a nice warm feel, nicely decorated, central log fire, varied menu and board games to boot! There was only one meat roast option (beef) but this was delicious and reasonably prices for the portion served (12) As we were leaving I couldn't help but notice a group of locals at the bar tucking into what looked like giant pigs in blankets - looked amazing! If i'm in the area i'd definitely return!
