We've expected a "magical" harry potter themed room but were surprised by a rather cupboard styled room. For sure it is a question of ambience but you should still have the option to fully light up your room. The door to the courtyard was the only option to get some fresh air and a bit more light. But the "view" backdoors was everything else than pleasant because the floor was full of bird excrements. Receptionist gave us the key to the door/window because it was not even locked in the beginning and everybody with rooms in the basement could have easily enter our room with a room safe which was not even mounted somewhere.

The floor in the room was in extremely bad condition and our bed was not even straight on the floor but standing in a hole with with one edge of the frame. Bathroom was an absolute mess. Whoever "designed" the sink should be fired immediately because the water tap was not long enough. Also no toilet brush and a very old/used shower armature. For such amount of money I would have expect a way better experience but the room 42 deserves no "enchanting" in its description. In my opinion this is a total scam. Breakfast instead was extremely nice and delicious.

We stayed in the Harry Potter room, and it was quite a disappointment.it might have been the same size as the cupboard Harry was living in. It was exceptionally hot, no air conditioning and no windows that open. There was a slug living in the bathroom sink, and no storage space for luggage or clothes at all.

Not a great start to be told that we didn't have a booking and our room had been double booked! It was all sorted in the end. However, room ended up being a twin-(we had booked a double). Quite noisy too- creaking floorboards and virtually able to hear entire conversation from guests in the next room. Disappointing really as the hotel is nicely presented and breakfast is lovely.

Friendly, welcoming helpful staff. I had a tiny room which was perfectly adequate for my needs = a night's sleep before catching an early train from Victoria < 10 mins walk. Might have been too hot but a powerful fan was left in the room: thank you! Strongly recommended (March 2022).

I checked in this morning after an overnight flight. The front desk gentleman saw how tired I was and got me into my room quickly. I was invited to a fine meal in the restaurant, and then to my cute "Tiny Single". But don't let that name fool you, it has the amenities of a large room, with a huge closet, a beautiful bath, full-size toiletries, a hair dryer, and a very comfortable bed.

I had a pitcher of water and coffee, cookies, and everything you need as a single traveler! The neighborhood is great, full of shops and restaurants, and I can't wait to explore it tomorrow. I will stay here on my next visit, so close to everything that I want to do and just a lovely, accommodating group of employees. A hidden gem!

I experienced DISCRIMINATION at the hotel. I was arrived the first out of 5 guests for check-in, but got a key last. The staff told 4 other guests how long to wait when they arrived at hotel, but not for me. After 4 guests got check-in, the staff came and told me you need to wait 15 mins. WHAT? Very unpleasant and unfair discrimination. The rooms was too NOISY with cars outside and too BRIGHT due to a street lamp at night, so I barely slept.

Even more, I could smell the SMOKE from the guest next room! I reported this to the staff. Plus, there was NO HOT WATER in the bathroom on the morning of the last day. I really hope this hotel will collapse soon.

Great welcome. Nice room. Small but well fitted bathroom. Breakfast delivered to the room while the 'pantry' is being refurbished. Good value in central location

Where do I even start. From the moment we walked threw the door the staff were more than helpful they were so welcoming. No matter what we asked them they were happy to help us and made time to speak to us. The hotel was amazing no faults at all. From start to Finnish we had a great time. Would we stay again? 100% yes with out a dout. Lovely place in a great area. It was so close to everything. Thank you so much to the staff. On till next time.

Such a lovely character-filled hotel and an amazing breakfast. We were on the top floor and it's a lot of steps so would call ahead if you have mobility issues to ask for a lower floor. That said, the bedroom was ridiculously cosy and the shower amazing! Had a lovely stay.

The area is nice & convenient for sightseeing or a theatre trip. We stayed in one of the Enchanted Chambers. It was said to be "concealed behind a bookcase door on the lower ground level of the hotel, along a portrait-lined passageway bathed in candle light" but it wasn't, it was just off reception on the ground floor. The room was quirky & had a Harry Potter feel, but also tiny & quite tatty. Tried to watch the morning news but all channels were pixelated to the point of unwatchable.

The bed was small but very comfortable. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment - the vegetarian sausages were the worst I ever tasted & what I imagine to be like chewing the sole of an old sandal. Also it was from the 'hot' menu but every item on the plate was cold when it arrived. The spicy tomato relish was very nice & scrambled egg nicely still on the moist side.

Not very pleasant coffee - quite bitter and again, not hot. All-in-all a novel experience that did have a somewhat 'magical' feel but was far below expectations, particularly given the price.

My partner booked the wizard room for 3 nights as a surprise for my Birthday. By reading everyone else's reviews our experience wasn't good, maybe they didn't like the look of us! Our breakfast was inedible and it was the wrong order and this was on my birthday morning, the waitress then tipped a plate of food on a customer while turning the TV up.

The staff didn't really notice we were staying there for the 3 days and reception was awkward with the staff focusing on the laptop in front of them and the dining room table seemed to be the check in and out zone with personal details printed and sitting on the table. We found it very difficult to speak to anyone as they were generally too busy doing something else.

Our room was fabulous, bed comfortable and the experience was quirky. Shame they didn't tell Us the French windows opened onto a little Courtyard until we said our room was too hot. Shame they put the leaflet telling us everything that's going on in the area under our door the day we left. Shame the staff felt unable to ask us how our stay was. We wanted to give feedback to the manager before we left as reviews don't always help Improve the experience but she was too busy in a meeting to see us. Shame! Won't be going back and unfortunately i wouldn't recommend this place to others.

Yesterday we had the Wizard Afternoon tea and it was lovely. Food was lovely and fresh, the Mocktail was delicious and the whole experience great & we didn't feel rushed. Thanks so much Xx

I stayed here with my partner for one night. The hotel is very quiet, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was cosy and immaculately clean. The check in and check out experience was also incredibly easy and all of the staff were approachable, friendly and helpful.

The Hotel is ok. Biggest problem is it's not a 4 star hotel. It's a solid 3 star. Rooms are very small, bathroom is tiny, wardrobe made into bathroom. My room was dated, with IKEA interior and definitely needed TLC. The redeeming qualities of the place is the staff very helpful and willing to go extra mile Also very nice bathroom products

Stayed in the wizards chambers for a hen weekend. Experienced the afternoon tea and potion making. All was fantastic! The staff on reception were absolutely brilliant. So attentive and helpful. Just a wonderful experience and great time had by all.

The Georgian House Hotel is situated in a fab location, peaceful and easy access to tube. We stayed in a Victorian Double which had a very comfy bed. Ear defenders where used due to noise from room above and fan being on to keep us cool. The interior could do with a little tlc in the room and through out the rest of the hotel. Staff are friendly and the wizard potion cocktail making was great fun.

Breakfast would of been perfect had it of been hot. Fresh juice & coffee lovely. We booked through Secret Spa Escapes so price was reduced, the stay was pleasant but I definitely wouldn't pay the normal full price.
