Very impressed with this hotel. It was hard to find a room with 3 beds in it, which is what we needed. We found it here, and everything went very well. The reception was very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was very well maintained. Impressed with the shower too, great pressure!

A+ experience for the price. Room was clean and neat. A bit old in decor and sparse, but I enjoy that. I'm spending my time out in Brighton, not in the room. The bed was comfortable and clean, so enjoyed a few good nights sleep on that. Door was secure, windows were secure. Easy, direct access to the pier, couldn't beat the location. Easy to find and on-street parking if you can get there at the right time. Check in was a breeze, host was very kind and got us settled in after a long drive and a late checkin.

Got it last minute. Rooms were so noisy. There's zero noise insulation. Someone walking down the stairs, shutting door would wake up your sleep. Couldn't sleep whole night. You could hear people talking, watching TV, singing, doing their business all night. Visitors are not allowed in the rooms. Did an early checkout to just go back home to sleep.

We stayed in the basement room. The carpet on the staircase leading to the room was very dirty and hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. Dirt and dust on skirting within the room, damage to bathroom door, central heating not working, missing wheel from oil filled radiator, dust on window sill behind curtains, floor hadn't been swept nor mopped in bedroom, bathroom extremely narrow, tv didn't work properly, only one channel available and tv remote didn't work. Stains on window blind and blanket. Noisy in the evening.

Booked a family room for one night, which we extended to two in advance over the phone. When we got there, they had no recollection of said phone call and gave nearly double the previously quoted price for the extra night. The furnishings in the room were badly weathered and lumpy, and the only toiletries provided were towels and half a roll of toilet paper on a falling apart hook.
The bathroom itself was a cramped space with a thin, sliding door that had no lock and a shower with no shelf but also too small to bend over in. The only real advantage of the place was the central location. If you have a car or don't mind hiring the odd taxi, definitely avoid.

First stay wasn't bad other than the cleanliness of the room, second time gone was up with a extremely rude and racist receptionist. Very unprofessional and just out of order as a hotel worker for a higher end hotel myself find this outrageous, would never ever tell any of my mates or family to stay there. No wonder why the hotel is so low rated by people that live in brighton
