Located in the centre of the historic village of Aberdour, on the north shore of the Firth of Forth, this family run hotel was a 17th century coaching inn. Some of the original features have been retained but the property has been tastefully converted into a delightful 16 bedroom hotel with full bar and restaurant facilities. While Aberdour is a peaceful and picturesque coastal village the location of the hotel offers easy access to Edinburgh (35 minutes by car or train), the M90 motorway which links Edinburgh to the scenic Scottish Highlands (10 minutes), St Andrews (1 Hr) and Edinburgh Airport (25 minutes).

Looked a nice wee place, pleasant staff. I ordered haddock and chips. Maybe expecting real handcut chips was wishful thinking, yes it was processed canteen style chips, which were OK but the portion was on the lean side. 4/10 for my plate. My wife got a vegetarian burger which she said was lovely. I certainly wouldn't hurry back, overall very disappointing and in my opinion overpriced bog standard pub grub. The toilets weren't very nice either, stank of stale urine and the toilet seat was damaged.

Nice hotel wit good selection of drinks, all staff extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and service great. The only thing letting the hotel down was the shabby room, dirty windows with cobwebs over them, bathroom sink was blocked with black sludge and took ages to drain and the shower screen was coming away from the wall. A real shame as this really did let the place down

I have stayed here 4 weeks including 2 weeks in lockdown and it was totally amazing. rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable. The prices are slightly varied due to room type and very reasonable indeed. In the beautiful coastal village of Aberdour. The bus and train is right on the doorstep and totally accessible to all areas of Scotland. There is a bar and licenced restaurant with good restaurant food.
The Scottish breakfast is fantastic. The only thing that is better than this hotel is the staff that are so helpful and totally dedicated in making your stay memorable. I will definitely return

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay, we would definitely recommend and we would stay again. The staff couldn't be more helpful and were very friendly. We stayed in room 9 and it was clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was really good. Just what we needed after a hectic Christmas. Thank you.

Great place, we ended up going twice. Great value as well as being superb. Had the meatball baguette, soft well marinated meatballs, chips and fresh made coleslaw. Friendly staff, good service plus - Allowed our dog, who also got a drink, non-alcoholic cause she chews table legs when drunk and we didn't want her barred

This weekend, the Aberdour Hotel was buzzing with activity. I was amazed, I was not expecting it to be that busy as I walked into its public bar for a drink. Tables were full of people eating away at their meals, and the bar was almost packed out. And then I learned that it was the annual gala week in the town, and that the hotel was very busy with the number of people staying and visiting the town. However, apart from that, what about the hotel. Well, the bar seemed quite traditional in its set up apart from the large television screen which was being advertised for next season's football league games.
The bar itself provided a good selection of drinks, including my personal favourite, Deuchers. The staff were friendly, and were quite chatty as they filled me in with why the hotel was so busy. Seemed like it would be a perfectly okay place to stay the night. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the station and across there road is the entrance to the local park and beach.
