Absolutely lovely hotel - plenty of space in the bar area to sit and relax. The room was a good size with a bath and shower and a few toiletries supplied. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were great. Lovely location over looking the beach with a nice restaurant close by called The Front which had delicious food and a beautiful view of the beach. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Its a bit of a naff area but there's a small beach and we was only visiting friends so was ok for us. Hotel had alot of water damage and we definitely wouldn't of booked if we knew about it but we was only made aware by entering the lift and reading a sign on the wall saying they had suffered damage from the storm in February 2 months ago. On exiting the lift the state of the walls and ceiling in the corridors were obvious. Rooms were OK. dated but mostly clean - there was a food splatter mark up the wall and the odd water mark from the damage but we didn't need to touch the wall and the bed, kettle, mugs and bathroom were clean which was the main thing I guess. Receptionist on the first night was very blunt and we felt like we was being awkward if we asked any questions like pool opening times as wasn't written anywhere but the staff the next night were lovely.

Do NOT do it to yourself unless like us it's just somewhere to get your head down for the night. Breakfast wasn't too bad. A dirty, run down, smelly place with Christmas tunes mocking it's sad apparel mid January. Absolutely pity the reception staff handing over keys to unsuspecting guests. The whole place needs gutting or forget the rooms that overlook the back and utilise the view from the road and invest in those rooms. Staff tried their very best but when you're surroundings are sh!t, you're going to eventually smell like it too.

While a little old fashioned my one night stay here was perfectly comfortable and it was convenient for my planned work the next day. This was booked via a third party website and flagged as having a socket but the bed which turned out to be false. They still use mini toiletries rather than the dispensers seen at a lot of budget hotels now to reduce plastic waste. Would be happy to stay here again.

Good 3 star accomodation which caters for those of us travelling with a dog. Ideally located on the beach front which is open to dog walk October to April with a small section available during the summer season. Breakfast etc is available to be eaten in the lounge by the restaurant when taking your pet downstairs for meals. Will definitely stay again when visiting family.

I haven't stayed overnight here but I've visited for conferences and also had lunch once in the Talbot Bar, which has a view through glass of the indoor swimming pool. It's quite pleasant and is near to the beach which is just over the road. Rather pricey though and the menu could do with more vegetarian choices. Not open all day for meals - they finish serving lunches at 2.00pm.
