We have been working tirelessly to restore our beautiful late Victorian era hotel, back to its former glory. We have taken great care to embrace the Victorian features of the building, and have some incredible plans for the future. In our first year we made a range of changes to the lovely Victorian mansion that we feel will make a real statement.
As you enter for breakfast you will see a selection of gluten-free cereal and jams! We also have vegans in mind as we provide Soya milk and dairy free spreads, our veggie sausages are also Gluten and dairy free! We take extra care when serving to our guests! Your Diets and allergens are important to us that's why we have taken extra steps in having separate fridges and ovens for both meat and vegetables as goes for our toasters strictly no cross contamination!Our Peanut butter & Chocolate spread are both palm oil free.

Our room was very clean and comfortable although it really does need updating. Point taken that their website did mention that rooms are being refurbished. We were at the front of the house which is on a busy main road but the house is set back from the road. This didn't seem to disturb us even though we slept with the window open (it got quite hot at nights) It was good to get back to a cleaned room after days out. Breakfast was great and Magda was more than helpful, nothing seemed too much for her, and always with a smile. A good location for the town and beach (all walking distance)

We found a first class hotel pretending to be a guest house but sadly they were found out and we say it's a first class hotel. The room we had was amazing and not changed apart from redecoration since built, we think Victoria's reign. Tall ceilings and original plaster cornice and light ceiling rose. Breakfast is the most difficult meal for any hotel to get right across the range of offerings.
The range was amazing as was the very attentive service with very top quality food cooked to perfection. Would not be out of place in London's expensive West End. Would return in the future and recommend to anyone.

Our hosts, who ever they were, were very hands-off. Someone met us in the lobby and helped us carry our bags to the room, and nothing more: no warm welcome, no briefings about restaurants, transport etc. The room was fine. although the bed was a small double, . Some standard items, such as a box of tissues, were not supplied. The breakfast and breakfast service was good. In sum, the basics were good, but the experience was somewhat bleak.

We chose to stay at Balincourt whilst visiting our daughter who is at AUB. The room was large, very clean and comfortable with tea/coffee and biscuits supplied. Bed was very comfortable too. The hotel had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. It was a treat to have a nicely set breakfast table. You could easily walk to the beach and into town. We'll certainly book again

We had a very warm welcome which always starts a visit well! My son and I stayed here in separate rooms. As they didn't have the rooms we requested next to each other, they kindly upgraded us when we arrived which we really appreciated. The rooms were bright, clean and comfortable. My son's room had been refurbished. He was very happy with it but he had problems with the pressure in the shower; if we had stayed another night, I would have investigated this but we were short on time.
The bar looked welcoming but again we didn't have time to use it. The TV remote control could do with a clean(Room 2) The staff member at breakfast was very friendly and the food was great - good choices and good portions. Parking at the front of the hotel was useful. We only booked the day before and this really helped us choose as there didn't seem to be any hotels with free parking! We walked into Bournemouth (about 20/25 mins) and got a taxi back (5.60) We would stay again.

Great guest house. Room had everything needed, bed was extremely comfortable and the whole room was spotless. We stayed for 2 nights and towels replenished each night. Breakfast was excellent, the eggs were high quality and the lady who served us so friendly and efficient. Lastly the owner 'Harps' was always there when needed with a great personality. So close to the sea and just a short bus ride into a Bournemouth. A really enjoyable and memorable stay.
