Very welcoming, professional and caring staff. We spontaneously stayed in a budget room last night, clean yet rather dated room but for the price I could not fault this hotel. We have been staying in numerous hotels recently due to personal circumstances, we would definitely recommend and stay again.

Awful experience- Rooms are dangerous with lights sparking and broken. Mould everywhere with a drip coming from upstairs. A smell like an old working mens club in yellow stained rooms. Heater doesn't work, noise is ridiculous due to them having a refurbishment so if you are on nights like me be prepared to wake up at 8 in the morning. Awful everything about it!

The hotel is beautiful, clean and quiet, but there are some abuses related to administrative corruption, I was staying in this hotel until last week, my status as an asylum seeker, This hotel houses a number of asylum seekers whose procedures are still pending, What I noticed is clear corruption practiced by the hotel management, which treats asylum seekers in a discriminatory manner, They provide adults with cold food, Its quantity is not enough even for a child, Low quantity and poor ingredients and method of cooking, All meals consist of rice and Asian cooking full of spices and drenched in oils even at dinner, All meals come cold, tend to freeze, even sandwiches are cold, with no way to heat food if someone asks for it, The concerned authorities and accredited organizations pay this hotel for housing and food (full board with three meals) But corruption is practiced by the administration, with the lack of follow-up from the competent authorities.

THE WORST NIGHT EVER. Receptionist a man, who said that he was a manager has 0 understanding in customer service. At 23:30 I could not fall a sleep because of a loud music coming from reception TV, my room was 201 just above, I asked receptionist to turn it down but his answer was that this is lobby and people might come in, (in the middle of a night when it's fully booked) so the music must stay loud, so I had to have a massive row until he turn it down. Because I got so upset I couldn't sleep for another couple hours.

Used to be cheap & cheerful, not so cheap & really quite sad. Obviously you only get what you pay for but they have dropped off our list of even adequate now. I wish I could post my photos. One pillow, broken tiles, filthy brown pull cord on the light look further up the cord & it's white, sad & tired dimly lit rooms. the hotel is slowly being refurbished, but the prices have gone up considerably for all of the rooms.

When we visited it was clear the hotel was undergoing a lot of renovation. The renovated areas were done to a high standard. We'd opted to stay in a cheaper room, which had not yet been renovated - it was clean but definitely in need of some love and an update (which I imagine they'll be getting round to). Perfectly adequate as a bed for the night! The tearoom is currently not open, however there is a pub a couple of doors down, and shops about a mile away (Spar or Londis).

The only good thing about this room, was the clean bed. Around the window was mouldy, the wallpaper was peeling, the carpet tiles used on the floor were not matched properly and were coming up, mouldy caulking in bathroom and a very dirty sink. I could go on and on. The kicker was probably the shower scalding us, but hey. great water pressure! This isn't somewhere I'd come anywhere near again. and I only really stayed here because I was attending a local wedding. I guess it's what's expected for a hotel charging around 70 per night. Glad I brought my own pillow.

If you like a hotel which has tiny rooms which remain unmaintained since the 80's, stained carpets, slamming doors, thin single pillows on a weirdly slopingbed, a poorly lit carpark, a bedside light without a bulb in it and playing shower roulette then this is the place for you! TERRIBLE NIGHT. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

It was clear to me I wouldn't be getting a good night's sleep, therefore I may have won the award for shortest ever stay. Arrived and checked out within 20 minutes. - Boiling hot rooms - Thin pillows - Road noise - Uncontrollable hot water - Poorly maintained facilities Just don't bother, spend your money elsewhere.
