We had a fabulous stay at Lucknam Park recently and would highly recommend anyone who is considering staying here to go ahead and treat themselves! We were given a Manor Room which was absolutely beautiful. The room had champagne, fruit and a card which was a lovely surprise as we were there as a birthday treat. The service from the staff was exemplary with everyone we met being very kind and welcoming.
We dined in the brasserie and the food being out of this world. The spa is the best we have ever experienced and we have experienced quite a few! We felt thoroughly spoilt from the moment we arrived to the moment we sadly had to leave. Huge thank you Lucknam - we cannot wait to return!

The staff are absolutely fantastic, so friendly and welcoming, it really made for such a great atmosphere. The location and hotel is wonderful, our 3 night stay felt like we'd had the relaxation of a two week holiday. Amazing spa facilities and staff. Brasserie excellent and restaurant sublime! Cannot recommend more highly. Thank you so much to all the staff, we will absolutely be back.

Gluten Free Afternoon Tea so good we went back! Lucknam Park is not only a beautiful hotel, but served me some of the most stunning gluten free treats I've ever had. Full 5* review at coeliacwellNES.com. Could tighten up their online information, but overall top quality food with allergen sensitive service. Would definitely return for another coeliac safe meal.

Fantastic experience, great food, beautiful park and facilities. The service was also perfect, very friendly staff, especially Brigitta was very helpful and super nice! My bed was the only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with. The gap between my mattresses (two single) in a double bed, with no appropriate cover on it made me feel slightly uncomfortable. Overall highly recommend!

Really fantastic stay! Absolutely beautiful and picturesque setting and buildings. Facilities are absolutely top notch to keep you entertained during your stay. Well groomed and enormous estate to walk around if the weather is good. Dined in restaurant Hywell Jones. Seasonal menu was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed making my way through their comprehensive collection of Scotch whisky. Had a 90 minute session at the spa, which was good value and enjoyed very much. Highly recommended for a get away.

The Lucknam Park hotel & spa is absolutely incredible. The hotel services is amazing, and the spa is the best. The outdoor heated pool is so peaceful. Classic and Garden rooms are more subdued, less of a flourish of fabrics, and slightly more contemporary. We ate at the restaurant and in the bistro and everything we ate was delicious. The six-course tasting menus are pretty filling.
The Brasserie, by the spa, is more relaxed: drop by for coffee and pastries, wood-fired pizza, and light suppers-Cornish bream or even a rump-steak burger. Professional and more friendly staff member entertain and welcome us.

I visited the hotel for afternoon tea. The atmosphere was amazing, drinking tea in a relaxing lounge, the afternoon tea delicious, the staff very friendly! We had a tour in the public areas of the hotel, and. everything was so cosy and beautiful but next time we should come back to dine at the restaurant among all of these paintings of ancient Athens!
The park is so beautiful but the most intrigued situation was to see the hotel at the end of that amazing mile from the entrance in a super foggy day! But the fog made everything more beautiful and mysterious!

I arranged a bridal tea for my daughter who was getting married that weekend. Our party included the bride and groom, my mother, two sisters and niece. The grounds were absolutely breathtaking, I wish we had arrived earlier to see more of them. We were seated for tea in a living room area and eventually were able to order. My sister joined us late, after we had placed out tea orders.
When they brought our sandwiches and scones my sister ordered tea for herself. They never brought it. She asked again after flagging down someone. She eventually had to find the kitchen to get her tea. After the trays were dropped off we never saw our server again. Never came to clear the table, give us our bill, refill our teas, it was unbelievable. I was embarrassed that I had set up our tea at this place, with such poor service. And tea was 45 pounds per person, I would expect better service.

Place is fantastic. Rooms are great big and spacious. What let it down was the breakfast what a faff there no buffet for pastries, fruit, cereals toast etc you have to order it though the waitress and your cooked breakfast and they bring one out soon as you've finished the next one's straight out very poor the cooked breakfast was over cooked eggs like bullets bacon over cooked told the waitress and nothing no apologies very dissatisfied especially when they charge 32 for the painful pleasure of eating it

Forget your worries and delegate entertaining little ones. Great start at Thatchers Cottage. Peaceful retreat (a short stroll from the main hotel and spa) and moments away was a treasure trove of outdoor and indoor facilities for youngsters. I watched (and joined in) as my 4yr old niece explored toys, climbing castles, outdoor percussion selection and chalet full of all sorts of games.
The Brasserie served excellent food at reasonable prices and all staff, without exception were friendly and informed. Felt very welcome. Equestrian options available too and you can walk for 2 hours and remain in the grounds. Highly recommended.

On the whole the hotel was lovely, relaxing and quiet. The service was excellent from Tues to Friday however the hotel became a lot busier at the weekend and the service at breakfast on Saturday morning was very very slow and my food had clearly been put under a grill to either heat up or keep warm as it was a bit crispy. All other mornings it had been good.
I was also disappointed by our experience in the Brasserie. I asked for some chicken to be added to a salad and was told it was possible but the price would increase by 7 (from 19 to 26) which is ridiculous so I opted not to proceed. The food was tasty though especially the super food salad. Restaurant HJ was nice, the food was beautifully presented and tasted nice but there wasn't anything unexpected and I'd tasted it all before.
Nice evening though. The spa and pool are beautiful, I had a massage and pedicure, both were good. There are a couple of good pubs near by if you want to get off campus for dinner and Bath is about a 30 min drive away. You can take out bikes, play croquet and there are board games and books in the lounge to keep you entertained. My partner played golf at a local course about a 10 mins drive away. On the whole I'd recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing get away.

Booked for my girlfriends birthday & it was absolutely fantastic. Every expectation was exceeded. As well as the girlfriend my dog also joined us & on arrival our dog had a bed with toys, treats, towels etc. Entrance driveway is stunning, don't make the mistake of following google maps it will take in the back way & you'll miss that wow factor of. the driveway arriving, follow the signs.
Food was out of this world amazing, pool & heated outdoor jacuzzi was perfect. Everything we ate was unbelievable. Service from the staff was also exceptional. Highly recommend!

Disappointing. we booked our in-laws in for the weekend for a 70th birthday. The Michelin restaurant was closed on the Saturday evening and despite being there all day received no notification. This was a pre paid meal. We also met them on the Saturday for afternoon tea and we're ushered to a table in reception! It was really difficult to hold a. conversation with people checking in and trying on welly Boots next to us. On complaint the in laws were offered an upgrade if they return from Devon! Don't waste your money, go somewhere where they actually care about customer service.

Stayed in a few luxury country house hotels, but this is my favourite so far. Stunning house and grounds, great facilities so you never want to leave. The spa is fantastic the nicest one I've ever used. This place is geared up for you to do as much or as little as you like. The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The room we had was lovely and tastefully decorated.
And finally the food! We had one evening in the restaurant and had the tasting menu, the food was fantastic but if I'm honest the service a little slow, we didn't get our final course until nearly 10.30. Second evening we ate in the Brasserie, food still fantastic and I would say on par with the restaurant, but a more relaxed atmosphere and great service. Would love to come back and would highly recommend.

A stay so good we extended it twice! Ended up staying at Lucknam Park for 7 nights and 8 days because we couldn't quite bring ourselves to leave (and it was our first, much needed, holiday since the pandemic!). LP is such a beautiful house/hotel. We love trampling around the grounds and beautiful gardens, eating in both restaurants, and lounging in the spa.
We stayed in a Manor Room - probably worth it for the extra space, great views and amazing bathrooms. Ask for a refurbished room as they really are lovely and in keeping with the personality of the hotel. Looking forward to the spa and gym becoming unrestricted in use again - currently you have to book hourly slots and they clean between lots. Really needs to be going back to normal soon enough. Looking forward to valet parking returning soon too. Overall, it's the kind of place you can really just make yourself at home and treat it like it's your house.
The staff are all really nice, friendly and accommodating of most of our little requests, with a formal touch too, if you prefer that kind of thing. Can't wait to return! Thank goodness LP is back!

It was my uncle's idea to spend the New Year here at Lucknam Park. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. But I would not recommended coming here around this time of year. The package was 1000 per day, with food and celebration included. However, the restaurant was not up to its usual parr during this time. The food wasn't as good as the normal night.
The service for breakfast is very slow, also very prone to errors. I ordered haddock hash with a side of sausage and baked beans but I didn't get what I ordered. Then I had to wait almost 30 minutes to get an order of haddock with no sides. Staff are very nice. But getting your breakfast order wrong and having to wait twice the time is a little upsetting for what we are paying!
Love the equestrian centre. Riding was fun and the staff was very nice. Would recommend to come any other time of the year except the holiday. Could have spent the money getting my family something else.

Stayed here for 3 days in July 2012 and honestly I did not know completely what to expect when arriving at the hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds are HUGe and thats an understatement! The hotel itself is not too big which is good in my book and it feels as if you are staying in an old castle in a way. I stayed in the Lilac suite and its adjoining room (forgot its name).
The set up was very roomy for a european hotel and had an older but still modern feel/decor. The staff is superb and every single one of them was courteous and helpful. They have two restaurants on the property and unless you rented a car you have no other options as there is nothing really nearby. That being said the restaurants are great and I did not get tired of eating at them for 3 days in a row.
They have a new playground for kids of all ages which my children just loved. They also have big horse stables on site and there are endless trails for you to take. My children went on an hour long ride and absolutely loved every minute. Oh and they have free wifi!
