Dalmeny Hotel

We've just had a fantastic family stay at the Dalmeny in Lytham St Anne's, very spacious family room with own kids bedroom, great child friendly facilities and even better children's entertainment programme. We also dined in the restaurant for evening food and it's was amazing despite being a busy Saturday! All in all a great stay that we all enjoyed!

Didn't stay, we attended a wedding. I have to say, the whole day was superb, from the setting to the food - which was excellent. The staff were discreet, professional, friendly, and the entire day was run impeccably by the manager. Would definitely recommend to anyone contemplating a wedding venue!

We have just had our wedding here and Ben, kath and Rebecca have been amazing with all of it. The day was amazing the ceremony room beautiful and the wedding breakfast room also beautiful. The food was fantastic and the service great. The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic. But the rooms. not one of our guests had a good experience in their rooms, I stayed the night before in one room that had black mould above the shower and no toilet roll holder, and the night of the wedding our room was not done up in anyway to reflect we were newly weds. Considering the amount we paid for the wedding we thought perhaps they would have left a complementary bottle of fizz or some rose petals on the bed, and the mattress was so heavily soiled it was a really disappointing end to what had been a perfect day. Guests of ours told us of cracked bathroom tiles, bathrooms carpeted?!? Mould and stained walls, which was quite embarrassing for us.

I'd definitely say the rooms are over priced but they are in a great location with great views The rooms have no fridges in and they don't provide bottled water just a kettle. They are very dated and really let the hotel down which is a shame as the staff, service and everything else was amazing. We won't come back to stay over to celebrate any anniversary just due to the poor state of the rooms unfortunately

Had such a fantastic weekend we booked another one as we were leaving. Really great staff, lovely room, great food and lots to do. Really loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Can't wait to return

We have visited numerous times over the years and always enjoyed our visits. The facilities are excellent for all our family and the entertainment was brilliant. The location is perfect for the beach and local amenities. The hotel is well run with friendly, welcoming staff who go the extra mile for you. We would come again next time we are visiting the area.

We took our grandaughter and had a brilliant weekend, the food was excellent and the staff are so helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment team do a fantastic job and isla loved it. Swimming pool was brilliant. There is a cinema room and games room also we didn't use but looked great. Couldn't fault anything, we'll done to all the team We will return

Stayed one night for our wedding anniversary. Nice room on first floor with a balcony. Room was very comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. Bedroom quite hot though even without heating on! Bar very good with modern decor and friendly staff. The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and efficient. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff on both occasions excellent. A lovely stay.

I could write all day about how great this hotel is. We came here as it was given to us a present.upgraded evening meal with a bottle of wine, was made to feel special from start to finish, massive room. Left with a smile on my face. Well done

Breakfast was lovely, staff were friendly and very helpful. We went for 2 nights as the children have been with their grandparents previously and loved it. The staff made them so welcome. The rooms are dated but were very clean and we had a Seaview. We will definitely return

Great staff and location. Could do with some general maintenance. Food is great. Bedrooms above squash court could do with some insulation to stop the noise from it.

Great for families. Nice swimming pool and leisure facilities, although changing rooms could do with a lick of paint. Lots for kids to do including entertainment. Food is very nice and great sized portions. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Handy location close to beach and local amenities. All in all a great place to stay with children but as with many large older hotels there is some areas that could do with a refurb however in general it is a super place and we can't wait for our next visit.

Booked in for New Year's Eve dinner - fabulous evening. Food was stunning, staff wonderful, entertainment fantastic, especially Tony Benedict in the Atrium. A great start to 2022. Thank you - Jane, Ribble Boatyard.

I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but.this place has gone down hill. I've been coming here a few years, a few times a year, and every time I visit, one of the things that set it apart from other hotels has disappeared and it has become a bit more "average." So today's visit. Nothing majorly wrong, just a few little things that could be better.

We checked in to the room which was clean and comfortable, but smelled of drains. There was a tea and coffee making corner with kettle, etc, and one single portion packet of custard creams. I asked for more, and was told no. Not a big deal, but when you're paying 200 for a room for 4 people, I'd have at least thought there would be a packet of biscuits each.

We went to the pool party which was advertised as being 3-4. Checked in at 3, got to the pool at 3.30, and the pool attendant was already collecting the floats away. I asked him if the floats were available until 4 as advertised, and was ignored. We ordered cocktails in the bar which were OK, but nothing wow. Communal areas were clean, rooms were clean, but the corridors leading to the rooms were filthy with the biggest thickest cobwebs I've ever seen in a hotel.not just a case of forgotten to clean once, but more like never cleaned at all. Kids entertainment was advertised for evening but when we arrived there was just a male solo singer on stage.

A kids movie night and hot chocolate was also advertised but when we arrived we were told there was none left. And we weren't late. Maybe the hotel should anticipate people actually wanting the things that are advertised as being available? That being said, this mornings pool party was fantastic, much more helpful attendants, and fun. It's a very very family friendly hotel where kids have so many options, but it isn't what it was.

Just a great hotel, only here 2 nights but it has everything you need and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have lovely big room overlooking the sea. Nice.

We stayed this weekend for an anniversary celebration. All three rooms were a good standard. Beds were comfy and plenty of space for everyone. All staff were polite and helpful at all times. Plenty of space in the hotel for everyone to be entertained. The singers on both nights were very good. Thank you. I will be returning.

Brilliant room tidy clean well stocked with everything to keep you comfortable, welcoming reception staff, very clean pool and we had a spa package lovely treatments. Breakfast was wonderful cereals fruits porridge yoghurts, and then full English to serve yourself with brilliant attentive staff very polite and welcoming WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Food was excellent service with a smile! Pool brilliant, staff cheerful and helpful stayed here 3/4 times, lot of broken amusement machines though! room was super 3 bedrooms and living room number 512 downside noisey air fans had to move bed into living room, 5 beds but only 2 chairs? No bedside cabinets to 2 bedrooms will stay again but not in that room

Positives: staff helpful and friendly. Restaurant in evening good service and great food. Good facilities in terms of pool, games room and spa. Great location. Negatives: whilst there have been some refurbishment since our last visit, it could be further improved. Reception area is stark and not inviting. Indigo bar and grill closes at 5pm. There is a limited choice on the kids menu for those who don't like flavoursome food.

For example a plain burger. Seemed understaffed at times. Many areas looked old, tired or unfinished, even shabby. Cleaning standards left a lot to be desired. Balcony area was very dirty, room had not been cleaned properly on arrival. Asked for a high floor sea view. We were given first floor but a big thick balustrade blocked the view.
