Chadwick Hotel

If you are reading this review, you are likely considering an Airbnb rental at Chadwick. The best thing going for this condo is it's location. You are about 20 to 30 minutes walk to convention center, balboa park or little Italy. Plenty of restaurants are within walking distance. The cons have to be homeless tents that open over night and condo itself.

The condo is old and smells like it. The rooms are very small and if your room has an Ac unit, it will be portable, which makes a lot of noise. There is no privacy doors between sleeping and bathroom area, so it's best for singles or couples. In hindsight, I would have booked somewhere else, but it was a last minute booking for a conference and there were limited options. I didn't take photos of a unit since they are individually owned, but I snapped a pic outside overlooking skyscrapers.

IT wasnt good experience at all, Rooms were too small with no privacy at all as windows were road facing.no mirror, no sufficient points for charging mobile n all.hardly any place to move around.and portable AC was inside room, which was making noise and impossible to sleep. Pathetic experience.and no response to the complaint.

The place was great. It was super cute and in a great downtown location. Overpriced for what we got in my opinion but it was a holiday weekend. I would have given it 5 stars but the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I can sleep on ANYTHING when I'm tired. I had a hard time sleeping in this bed. They are also dog friendly. I would probably stay again and just hope to get a different bed

Cool themed bedrooms with bathrooms. The place looks like a normal house both inside and out. Has street parking and parking lot on the side. Very clean inside and out

Possibly the worse vacation experience of my life. Literally nothing was usable. There was an awful smell of cat litter and decay and the owner is refusing to refund any of the stay.

This place is so unique. Each guest room seemed to be completely different in its theme and presentation. The room was clean and I really enjoy staying here during my weekend trip to San Diego. Highly recommend.

Ocean themed room was cute and bed was comfy. Clean sheets/fridge. Shower was Clean, but way too small and almost impossible to shower in. Water went right over my head and hit the wall. Walls need to be wiped down because they were quite dusty. Parking was $30 a night. Paper thin walls and chain lock on door was falling out. Not very safe. Floors are warped and cracking apart.

Small room, desk is really not enough to work at. Walls are paper thin and the room is on street level with an in-window AC unit, so you can hear everything around you. All I needed was a place to stay that was downtown and inexpensive so this worked out just fine for me.

Hotel is cool and personnel very nice and receptive with guests. Room is very well characterized as a western movie. Unfortunately we found bed bugs in our bed and had to pass the night with light on (they only act at night). The day after we had to move to another room.

So much fun staying here, in the Gold Room on AirBnb. Loved the spot. Internet was intermittent, which was a bit of a bummer considering I needed a sturdy connection to do my day job, but other than that everything else about this place is wonderful. Location, aesthetic, cleanliness, all was great, I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.
