Jabajak is an award winning vineyard, restaurant and rooms. Set in 7 acres of grounds in a tranquil, peaceful spot but centrally located along the A40 corridor with easy access to all Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion have to offer.
Services
We apologise that despite years of applications, we have as yet, been unable to obtain permission to place brown signage on the A40. However, the directions below will get you to us by a simple route. Please AVOID using a Sat Nav. Follow the M4 to its end, which will lead you directly onto the A48 following signs for Carmarthen.
Jabajak is conveniently located in the heart of west Wales, making it absolutely ideal to pop out after breakfast to any of the Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion attractions, gardens, historical buildings or coastal walks and be back in time for supper, ready to recharge your batteries for the following day.
Whether its a truly unique romantic candle lit meal for two, a convivial meal with friends or a private group gathering, you'll receive nothing less than a superbly relaxed and comfortable dining experience and exceptionally friendly customer service. On your arrival at the restaurant, you will enter the lounge bar.
Jabajak operates an honest, seasonally fresh and locally sourced food philosophy where all our dishes are prepared to order using local suppliers, herbs, leaves, edible flowers, fruit and vegetables grown on-site in our kitchen garden or foraged, whenever possible, so our food looks as good as it tastes.

We stayed 2 nights. On arrival we received the warmest of welcomes. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and definitely un-stuffy. The room was delightfully decorated bright, spotless and cozy with a fully stocked tea tray. In fact the whole place is beautiful. The restaurant menu was just the right selection and perfectly balanced for all tastes. Vegetables were largely home grown and the delicious sourdough bread made daily by a staff member. Nothing was too much trouble. Do visit Jabajak. but leave space for us to visit again :-

We had the most amazing stay at Jabajacks! We were a party of 7 'mature' ladies gathering for a hen night. Steve greeted us in the bar and made us feel so welcome. All the staff made a huge fuss of us and nothing was too much effort for them. The wine tasting was amazing. Not at all pretentious and the host was very knowledge in terms of the wine, welsh history and he made it fun!
The dinner menu was varied and the actual food was amazing. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. We had am amazing day and night. Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasurable. We defo will return!

Stayed here with a group of friends last night and it was truly amazing from the time we arrived until we left after breakfast the next morning. The hosts were very professional and welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay truly special. The food was delicious and of a very high standard and the wine tasting experience was excellent and well presented. Would highly recommend this venue.

How we found this gem i do not know but all i can say is we are SO SO GLAD! we actually planned and liaised with the owners for a couple of months, from start to finish they were fantastic! Every little detail ensured our stay went to plan & the effort they both put in is; unforgettable! We actually got engaged on this day & headed to the Jabajak afterwards which was a surprise stay.
The room was beautiful & everything was clean & fresh, the details i had asked for were done & every effort was made to ensure we were happy. We headed down for food & for anyone that wants fine' dining this has to be a place to come visit! The dining area is laid out beautifully to which we were lucky enough to have private dining upstairs for the evening!
The upstairs over looked a main room with a beautiful new log fire & after our food ( which each course was lovely! ) we headed down & whilst very full Enjoyed a romantic wind down infront of the burner :) The vineyard itself is a lovely location & i can see this being a lovely place in spring & summer to come & dine & sit outside. We wish this was nearer so we could do this ( 4 hour drive for us ) but we plan on making this a yearly visit!
In my honest opinion i usually have faults, not that we're picky but as things happen you find things dont go as planned or as expected but with new owners Jackie & Steve the Jabajak for us was faultless & we cannot recommend this venue enough! Thank you both & the staff for a unforgettable experience & we wish you all the best for the future of the place.
The Side note: " To The Stars " On the evening we ventured out to see the stars! If you go to the car park and look up - all i can say is WOW! For anyone into star gazing you need to see the sky there! We have some epic shots infact our phone with a standard 10 second shutter with night mode picked up a beautiful cloud galaxy! Using Sky guide we were able to see Orians belt, Various different distant suns & just an amazing blanket of sky night life! Guys you definitely need a decked area for this it would be EPIC! Thank you once again - Chris & Hannah

Unfortunately I cannot give a higher score to Jabajak. We've been coming here for maybe 5 years for birthdays etc and the new owners haven't addressed the old problem of lighting the long path from the car park to the restaurant. I really canmot complain about the staff because they were excellent in every way but the actual menu was very limited in my opinion.
If you don't like your meat on the rare side then this is not the place for you so my choices were.well there wasn't a choice so my main course was a another starter! This is a really lovely venue perhaps it's a pity that I'm so hard to please.

Just don't bother. The food is awful and the attitude is diabolical. Plenty of other places to stay with better service. And you will not be spoken to or dealt with like you are nothing. Friends also got married there and it was absolutely horrific. And they also hiked up the bar costs. When they had seen the the costs before hand. And was told it would remain the same.
I did not want to complain about the cold food on the day. Because it would have ruined the day for them. Expensive just to try the experience out. And no this is not a review from. For in a bed. Get over yourselves! Good luck to ever deals with these unprofessional bunch. You will need it!

Jabajaks is a stylish retaurant and retret hotel in the welsh countryside between llanboidy and whitland. It is about 10 mins from main roads from carmarthen so easily found, yet it is right in the beautiful countryside. Its is a converted fam with stunningly converted stables and milking parlours for the retaurant. The building is over 150 years old.
It realy is stunning inside. There is seating on different levels, up in the clean white painted rounded sealings up on balconys is an amazing place to be seated. The fool dis brilliant, and a real treat for this area, a lot of time and effort has be made and taken to make this something special. definalty not the usual standard of a place like this.
It may seem pricy but that is compared to other places in this area. Its very stylish and wouldnt be out of place on the swankiest of streets in london. They even offer a helicoper landing pad now! check out the website for pictures, the interior is sstunning. They cater for parties, events, holiday breaks, or just the restaurant. Its a lovely find, and totaly out of the norm for this area!
But as its stylistic and becasue of that it tends i feel to be a place for a treat for the locals not a place where you just pop for a dinner out. overall a brilliant place and highly recomended!
