Giltar Hotel

First stay at the Giltar after years of staying in other establishments in Tenby and booked to return whilst staying there! Very nice hotel, clean, inviting, upgraded rooms with pleasant friendly staff who were so accommodating and helpful throughout. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I had the very great pleasure to stay at 'The Giltar' in Tenby, for 4 nights. The Food was excellent, the room was not 'posh' but it was lovely, clean, had all I needed and was kept that way everyday with new towels, good housekeeping etc. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone who asked me.

It was a cracking view to the front, but as I had a single room and it was a spur of the moment trip, my room was at the back. I didn't mind one bit, there was so much to see and do in Tenby, and the exercise every day, walking into the town centre, was what I needed to work off not only the fabulous cooked Breakfast, but also the Evening Meals. Cracking selection, cooked to perfection. My heartiest thanks to everyone there, who made my stay memorable and happy.

On our way home after a lovely 4 night stay with parents who had the superior room st Catherine. Staff are really helpful and work hard for their customers.would definitely recommend this hotel. Julie

All good except room was small, even though we had booked a superior room. Sea view from window was fabulous though. The website stated that superior rooms had recently been refurbished. Ours hadn't. Super breakfasts and friendly efficient staff.

We had our wedding here and it was beautiful. Staff were amazing. Food was amazing, rooms were amazing. Wish I could do it all again! Couldn't have asked for better! Thank you again for helping us enjoy our day. We will definitely be back. Meg & Chris

Very nice we had breakfast delivered to our room because of COVID, no sea view though. Staff were friendly. Bathroom fine except for entrance, I kept catching my foot on protrusion by the door.

Lovely hotel and the breakfast was beautiful. All the staff were lovely apart from I'm assuming the owner, his attitude absolutely stank and he spoke to us and his staff in a disgusting manner, very unprofessional. This has made my mind up not to return to this hotel in the future.

Lovely warm comfy room excellent staff especially the reception team all great knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is clean and have spent a lot of time and money on the refurbishment great location over looking south beach very relaxing stay.

Stayed for Christmas party night with Christmas dinner. Food was fabulous, hotel spotless, would highly recommend

Stayed for a Christmas Dinner with my sign and share club. Staff very good with us making sure we had heard them Christmas Dinner was delicious. Disco was awesome really enjoyed myself. Room lovely and cosy, I'd love to see the rooms with sea view one day though! Only complaint I'd have is I was woken up at 7am by drilling? Shower small but was. OK for me. Kettle gets very very hot which could be worrying with little children. Breakfast lovely although didn't like the scrambled eggs. not sure why. All in all a great stay and I would return. thank-you

The location is perfect to see the morning sunrise and evening sunset. Food is delicious, staff friendly and bar prices are reasonable.would definitely recommend this hotel

A beautiful sea front hotel. Our room over looking the beach and Caldy island was amazing. Breakfast was quality and quantity perfect. Staff all very friendly. Looking forward to returning.

Went for Sunday lunch. Very reasonably priced (12.50). Reason for not being 5 stars: food quite cold and vegetables very hard. The service however was outstanding.

Staff very unhelpful when I had to cancel due to an emergency situation and refused to refund any of my money. Said that I can rebook in the future for free but seemed to have forgotten this promise when I did try

Good clean room overlooking seafront. Room 309 very clean lovely staff very good breakfast. Bed was a little soft for me but I'm really fussy. No complaints. Car park just around corner. That was 7 a day. There is a hotel carpark but it's a squeeze. I would stay again.

We arrived early at the hotel and on arrival found our booking had been cancelled by booking.com without them telling us. Obviously we were disturbed by this but the reception staff could not have been more helpful. They spent time searching the system to find out why this had happened and then by pure luck they had a room they could give us. The room was a large family room but they gave it to us for the price of the twin room we had originally booked.

The room was comfortable and perfect for our stay and had gorgeous views of the sea through the side windows. Breakfast was very good and more than adequate. Overall it was a great stay in a lovely hotel with fantastic and helpful staff

What a lovely place to stay. Pity we could only stay one night as they were fully booked. Excellent staff, excellent atmosphere. excellent breakfast.lovely rooms and had an absolute ball in the bar area. We will return.

Fantastic staff who went over and above to help us after we arrived and found had cancelled our booking without telling us. They really couldn't do enough to help us and made sure we were accommodated in a larger room at no extra cost. Comfortable spacious room, great breakfast and a brilliant location.

Amazing staff. Very friendly. Great breakfast, good size too. Wall was very thin so I could sometimes hear the people next door but everything else made up for that

Lovely view from our room. Spacious, clean, quiet. Great location. Cant fault. Breakfast was a bit gray. Would love to see more fresh veg options. And perhaps more bread options (sourdough or rye) - but thats personal preference hence not affecting 5star review. Would defo book again and will reccomend.

Really lovely hotel. Staff were very nice, all had smiles on their faces. Room was lovely. View was fantastic. My only complaint would be the bed. It was too soft and springy for my liking. Wasn't the best night sleep, but we survived. Would stay again.

We had to move rooms during the stay. The first room was really not good with the wall being so thin you could hear everything. Room was below standard but was ok. When we then moved the second room was amazing on the top floor very nice. You would honestly think you was in a different hotel. More TV channels, guest information, and just little things that mean so much. First room had nothing.

Loved our stay. The staff were lovely, the food was gorgeous. Beautiful little garden at the back of hotel and lucky for me some plants were for sale. Beautiful sea views from our room. Just perfect, highly recommend x

Went there today for my first ever afternoon tea. When my friend and I sat down, we were greeted by 2000s UK pop music, some true bangers. We danced our way through tea.however, it didn't really fit the atmosphere for afternoon tea. We were not given different options or told what was included, especially when a member of the party has dietary restrictions. The deserts looked as if they were purchased from Sainsbury's down the road. I would recommend spending a little more for a true afternoon tea.
