Great location if traveling by train as it is next door to the station. Although the staff is nice and friendly, we will not go back. Had TV in room but no remote. The staff gave us 3 remotes to try and none were compatible. In fairness after a couple of hours in the room and 2 different attempts to find one to work. They offered to move us to a different room.
After a 10 hour flight and 4 hour train ride (due to a death in the family) we were too tired to pack up and move. The heating unit did not keep the room warm but did keep the room light all night (with help from a phone jack, ). Shower size was small. USB charger in room did not work. Super disappointed as I have wanted to stay here since we moved to Wales. Just not worth the cost.

Pleasantly surprised with the Grand Hotel. Stylish rooms that had been fairly recently refurbished. Comfy bed. Good supply of tea, coffee, milk etc. Room was quiet despite being next to the station. Only downside it was a little stuffy as windows don't open. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced parking next door in station NCP. A good base for exploring the Gower Peninsula.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and the management is doing a fine job of forgetting the bad reputation it used to have. The hotel entrance is proof of this as it is quite grand! Rooms are nicely decorated, ours on the 2nd floor was a bit small and had no opening windows. I believe the top floor rooms are more spacious. The railway station is across the road and the bistro (bar) easily temps travellers awaiting their train.
We had a decent meal here on our first night and breakfast was also very good. As the regeneration of Swansea makes its way to hotel the immediate neighbourhood should improve somewhat making it a more attractive stay.

Never stay at this hotel. The images they advertise are in no form or shape of the rooms they provide. The rooms are as small as a box, it ends before it starts. The whole hotel smell of mold. In a very weird place, we got a room facing an old factory which looked extremely scary. Bathroom door didn't had knob to lock the door. No handwash in the bathroom. It is astonishingly small for the price we paid. I won't want to pay 50 per night but ended up paying 150 per night. Fair warning. "DO NOT STAY HERE"

My husband and I had the best experience ever. We had the king Suite with hot tub on the terrace. it was everything PERFECT! They welcome us with a cocktail, the. We hound a bottle of wine and dessert waiting for us in the room Petals, balloons and little hearts confetti on the bed! After our amazing dinner, the deliver outside our room a little basket with a kit for hot chocolate with marshmallows and tea cakes. They also wrote a card, welcoming us! The room perfect and clean, the jacuzzi fabulous Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back again! Lara

Friendly staff, and nice looking hotel in a good location (10 minute walk to the main bars and restaurants). Parking is in a public car park which only cost us 5 for a whole night if you need it. Onto the room: good size room, nice duvet and pillows, tea, coffee, and lovely biscuits/cookies. We were on the train station side on level 3 and found the windows didn't block much noise out which kept us up a lot of the night.
The curtains don't fully cover the windows so a lot of light shines through (we're used to pitch black at home). Door doesn't fit door frame 100% so light comes in under the door.also can hear other people talking and watching TV so I imagine it's the same in return. Overall it's a nice hotel, but both our sleeps were very disturbed, however I still give it 4*

Bar staff need some training in how people behave. I finished work, went to there bar.no staff.when one appeared I asked for 2 pints (1 for me 1 for the person and I was meeting). I was told I'm busy. I'll be with you in a minute when said gentleman reappeared I asked from my seat if I could have the 2 pints. I was asked to leave by the manager for being abusive. Don't know if it's stress but customer service In the bar is awful.truly awful.

Amazing Hotel! Staff where so helpful through all of my wedding planning, went out of their way to make everything perfect for me and my husband, we didn't haven't to worry about anything on the day! Food was outstanding and enough to feed the 500 which went down well with all my guests and a large variety of foods for the ones with dietary needs :

Ok, where is the prices and what time start the breakfast, plus where I can order? Is a big minus for me, when I pay certain money aspect the room to be clean and the hotel, to have some " prices" in meniu, the app to work and for android phone. I didn't aspect the room to smells of mold, this is a big minus. Room appropriately clean but is not, dust everywhere, dirty hall with high smell of mold, again. So I have that feeling this room's are give the people who are from another country (I try to be soft). Overall is a budget hotel, highly disappointed, unfortunately.

Really nice 3 star hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean with a beautiful tiled bathroom, with a bath and powerful shower over the bath. The bat staff were friendly and parking next door in public car park was 5 overnight. Breakfast was great and cooked well. 200 yards out of hotel on left is wonderful tea and coffee shop called First Call Coffee to get your day going!

Nice hotel after all but it's quite unsanitary no cleaning, no nothing. For a short stay you wont really need more then they give. if your staying for longer you'd need to buy coffee and sugar. they give 3 small milks and a coffee cup which is enough. we would go again but for a higher room (higher then classic) but we would rather a holiday home/studio. it deserves 4 stars

Unfortunately does not match up to its name: room was clean but bedside shelf was incorrectly fitted and on an incline so everything slipped off; sheets weren't tucked in; curtains were plastic; noise from drinkers outside kept us awake. In the morning at breakfast the cups and cutlery were dirty. I wouldn't have minded so much but the price wasn't cheap, probably around double what you'd pay at a Premier Inn. Having said all of that, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and breakfast was very generous.
