So, i'm having to write this review again because the first one was mistakenly written for their restaurant. so, for my huge number of yelp followers, my apologies. (that's a joke) my husband and i stayed here for exactly one night. the first night we arrived from paris. it was locally situated near his office. at first, for a boutique hotel, entering the place seemed ok. kind of a hip, modern, quaint place. once you get to the rooms tho, sh*t hits the fan. on our train ride here, i already noticed the rooms were quite small online so we upgraded to what we thought might be a bit more comfortable. no luck. let's just get to it. safe box kept locking on me without the code. had to get it broken into twice. it was so cheap, i could've easily broken into it myself but was afraid i'd be charged if i threw the damn thing out the window. the bathrooms. NO ELECTRICAL OUTLET. yes, that's right. wanna plug your blow dryer in? nope. not here. absolutely no storage. none. they've got some sort of pole on the wall. that's it. and the biggest problem. the bed. the worst bed i've ever slept on. both my husband and i were tossing and turning till 4am. and this man can sleep on a rock comfortably. at this point, we immediately searched online and got the hell out of here. just awful. i will give them credit for one thing. when we arrived, we were exhausted so ordered room service. i have to admit, the food was great and hit the spot. so, if you're around the neighborhood, definitely stop by the restaurant but check out your nearest sidewalk if you want any sleep.

Lovely hotel in good location and pretty quiet for London. The restaurant was decent although just had breakfast. The staff was friendly and nice and did a wonderful job cleaning the room. Probably one of the best in terms of attention to detail including folding my clothes! Nice stay would stay here again.

This is such a great place - in fact if you were coming from outside of England and were expecting 'Hugh Grant Movie London' then this little square and the places that inhabit it is just where you'd send them (or Notting Hill I guess.) The townhouse is just around the corner and to the back of the main Zetter hotel and it's really lovely and boutique - you are checked in downstairs in the quaint lounge bar and upon entering your room for the first time you're like 'wow' - this is cool!
Classic yet modern and stylish - it's a great place to hangout and somewhere I'd hope to get back to super soon. The staff were all very friendly and really made you feel at home. The only thing I need to leave as a tip is that there's no milk in the rooms (no fridges) - so you supposedly have to call down to reception to get them to bring you milk, something I only learned after having my coffee black that morning and checking out.

Came for breakfast and went for "The Works". Fantastic quality ingredients with perfectly cooked poached eggs. Surprisingly it wasn't at all greasy. Lovely friendly welcoming staff who served the best Flat White I have ever had. I will be coming back to try their lunch and evening menus. (Visit - 28/01/2015 Breakfast)

I value space more than I value chic design, which is why my Zetter experience left me gasping for more of the former and less of the latter. Prepare yourself for a super cramped room in a posh setting with excellent service and organic shampoos. If you're looking for space (or even a closet or a gym), you should probably look elsewhere. My favorite? The free fizzy water.

The Zetter Hotel staff extended a very warm welcome to London, and took good care to make my stay comfortable. I am here for a short stay on business, and will no doubt be coming back to the Zetter during my next visit to London. However, I would also certainly return to kick back and relax during any visit for pleasure as well. The front desk staff was particularly friendly and helpful. Also, the room was quite comfortable. definitely NOT roomy. but the air conditioning kept the room temperature pretty much perfect both during the day and for sleeping as well.
Internet service is provided, and the bed was quite comfortable for a good night's rest, . even though I confess to collapsing therein as a rather jet lagged international traveler. Also, upon waking, the cafe latte's from the espresso machine provided a soothing start to the next day. One very unique aspect of the Zetter are the bottled waters provided free of charge in each room which come from the Hotel's very own borehole that has been producing ecologically pure spring water over many years from aquifers that are almost half a mile below. The artisan water is extracted and passed through purification processes before bottling for guests. Pretty unique, but also makes for a special treat.

A trendy and beautiful boutique hotel located in central Clerkenwell with easy access to all that East Central London has to offer. Pros Great friendly and helpful staff Well appointed rooms - nice extra amenities like fancy shampoos with biodegradable packing, fluffy rubes, hot water bottles Cool reddish mood lighting in the rooms Excellent rain-forest shower with a seemingly endless supply of hot water Free coffee and tea stations in the hall Location - very handy for Clerkenwell, Bloomsbury, and the City Free wifi! Cons It's exceptionally expensive for what you get. Rooms are tiny.tiny for London.tiny for a cruise ship Rooms facing the street or St John's Square can be noisy Location - yes I listed it as a pro above, however, it seems like the nearest tube station (Farringdon) is closed most weekends which means a longer walk or taking the bus to get to the West End Overall - 3 stars 4 stars for the service and amenities, 2.5 stars for the value, 2.5 stars for the tiny rooms

This is the place to stay if you are influenced by graphic design in any way. The amount of thought put into the typography and printed materials in this hotel is staggering (stylized Z's on the provided comfy blankets?). You will not find any signs printed in comic sans in the Zetter. They obviously have a style guide and are not relying on MS word templates. Rooms are small but well thought out.
There are only showers in the rooms but the showers are functional and have good water pressure. There are ipod chargers as is de rigeur for any hipster hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the tube station and a number of decent restaurants and bars, including Fabric a few blocks away. We did not encounter any hordes of drunks from the nearby nightclubs while staying here.
The vending machine booze is mostly for show -- when you see the prices, you'll know why. Head to the Tesco minimart down the street if you want to drink booze in your room. The hotel itself is very nice but communication can be a bit iffy between the restaurant and the front desk. It seems as if the front desk staff are still learning the ropes for doing some tasks -- they are friendly and helpful, but make sure you get confirmation if you have any special requests or elaborate needs.

I stayed in the Zetter for a business trip. It's an interior designers dream. Things are beautiful, but not always functional. It took me two days to figure out the lights and what switch belongs to what light cove. There are brightly colored lights in the windows (reds, blues, etc.) which look neat from the street and the window shutters do a good job of blocking the light out completely from the room, but I couldn't help but think that it was such a total waste of energy.
They bottle their own water in reusable glass bottles; both the still water and sparkling were tasty. Their full breakfast was also good. I remember that their coffee tasted especially good. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful. It was a fun place to stay and conveniently located. I'd go there again in a heartbeat.

Champagne bottles in the vending machines. I think they're on to something here. This hotel feels almost like it's for a James Bond-type on a budget. Modern, stylish, and sexy, without breaking the bank. The spacious "rooftop studio deluxe" room was quite enticing, to say the least. Right inside the door is a light switch that turns on the red mood lighting.
From there you can move to the large outdoor patio overlooking the city with thousands of free music tracks to entertain your guests by, even with speakers in the bathroom, should you decide to move the party there. After that, why not take the bubbly with you to the King-sized double bed with individual in-bed temperature control settings to warm things up. James Bond would be proud.

The hotel combined with restaurant idea was interesting but seems to work. A little bit like a small Malmaison, but with more colour, the decor was trendy yet sophisticated. The waiters were a little bit too obsessed with trying to get us to buy water, which is an environmental crime in my books. Though they did eventually catch on and brought on the food and wine. Prices were about what I would expect from this type of restaurant, around 15-17 pounds for a main. We ordered the cheapest white available, and it was impressively good, so there is really no need to hit the expensive stuff.
