Great family run hotel in Bloomsbury. So welcoming and friendly. Very convenient for the British Museum, Dickens House, Euston station. Great bakery around the corner and a lovely Italian restaurant recommended to us. Great cooked breakfast. Rooms clean and comfy. All in all great location and value for money. I will definitely return.

I booked a local hotel through a big travel company and there was no booking so i was left with 12 & 17 year old daughters in london with nowhere to stay. Luckily we were able to get a room at the Celtic. The staff are friendly, accommadating & went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable ( even texting us tips afterwards to get to camden!) The rooms are spotless - the breakfast definatley sets you up for the day! Thankyou ladies from a mother who was in much distress you made our weekend x

I stayed here once before with my family due to a referral from another hotel. As luck would have it, the hotel I initially called was full. We had such a lovely stay that when I needed to spend the night in London last weekend, I stayed with them again. Before I begin this review, I'd like to say, this is not the hotel to come to if you're planning on staying out most of the night and getting wildly intoxicated.
This is a family run hotel on its 3rd generation. The family is extremely friendly, kind, and accommodating. It's really as if you're staying at home while away from home. It's nice and quiet and very safe. As a female traveling alone, safety is extremely important to me. You must ring the bell to be let into the hotel. And I think the doors are locked at 10p. (However, if you need to come in later, you just need to let them know.) They offer a variety in types of rooms varying from bed sizes, numbers of beds in a room, and bathroom accommodations (with sink/with sink & toilet/with sink, toilet, & shower).
The rooms I've stayed in had high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, a fireplace, full bathroom, desk, sitting chairs, wardrobe/closet, kettle & coffee, television, and internet access. Also I could not hear my neighbors through the walls, which is always a plus! Although there are areas in the rooms that could use some cosmetic improvements, it was far more important to me to stay in a clean place.
You could tell all the bedding was very clean and there was not a speck of dust to be found! Both times I've stayed were in October and the rooms had a heater I could use. Surprisingly, considering the high ceilings, I was quite comfortable with it on only at night on the lowest setting. The Celtic Hotel also offers a delicious English breakfast. I always look forward to the breakfast during my stay!
I will end my review with another example of why I love staying here. My most recent stay over the past weekend was because I had an early morning exam in London. As I was walking to the exam, my phone buzzed because I received a message. Although I have an American phone number, I received a message saying good luck on the exam from the Celtic Hotel!
I was so surprised and it put a smile on my face as I went to take my exam. It's little things like that and the personal touch you get to experience when you stay there and that means a lot to me and my family.

Went there with a friend to stay for 3 nights. It's a fine place to rest in, with reception open 24 hours and overall welcoming staff. Good selection of breakfast and great rooms status; the staff can refill your water bottles too, and that's an awesome thing. Definitely one of the best places to sleep in London!

Loved the hotel it's very quite, from first glance you wouldn't know it's got 35 bedrooms. Both Lounge are amazing, l had coffee and biscuits which the owner a lovely lady offered me as l was checking out, and was an hour late for breaskfast.l felt like l was in my own beautiful house very comfortable. It's clean and well loved and looked after.

Great family owned, boutique hotel. It's not super fancy for the furnishing, but very clean and well thought out. The customer service though is amazing! Went out of their way to be extra accommodating and hospitable. We were going to miss breakfast due to an early flight, so the front desk clerk ordered breakfast sandwiches to be made for us.
