The Grove

The Grove is such a beautiful venue and every time we go we have a lovely time. Staff are delightful and the food is impeccable. Drinks are great and I really enjoyed my Hendricks & Fever Tree tonic's this evening. The grounds are so beautiful to walk around and the Stables bar is a great place to grab a few drinks and have some bar food with a great atmosphere. We are yet to try the spa but that is next on our list to try as it looks fantastic.

We stayed in the Grove for a weekend and had amazing time, everything was top staff and service, room and grounds of hotel. Food was amazing, spa treatments were excellent. The therapists were very nice, professional and very good at their job. Highly recommended using the spa facilities. Well done to everyone who made our weekend memorable and thank you, we're looking forward to come back one day

For over 20 years plus The Grove (Glass House) still has its wow factor. Spotlessly clean, stunning decor throughout, excellent service and the food was out of this world. In my opinion, worth every penny. A buzzing atmosphere of groups young and old all enjoying themselves. Time well spent.

I have just finished working on an event where we took over the whole hotel. I think it is the best hotel I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Every member of staff was incredible and I mean every single staff member. They were extremely helpful with no request to big. They are yes people and made a hard event seem easy. It was also great to see how much they enjoy working with each other and even during the most stressful moments their team work shone through. I hope to be lucky enough to be working on another event here.

Spent a night here for my birthday and loved every minute. The service, the food, the room, the facilities, the grounds were all gorgeous and everything felt luxe. We were made to feel very welcome with our kids during our stay, which made it extra relaxing and enjoyable. The temperature of the pools was perfect, the bed was so comfortable and the room was quiet, calm, with a big balcony to enjoy the view of the gardens and it felt like a lovely place to be when we weren't enjoy the spa, the pools or the gardens.

There was loads to explore within the grounds and our kids loved the games room, crafting cottage and the amazing event breakfast. Can't wait to return! Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so memorable.

The background to our visit to the Glasshouse restaurant for dinner that Saturday night was to celebrate a very special birthday. Guests gathered from as far away as Australia enjoyed the evening. The atmosphere I have found is always pleasurable and the food stations that evening had on offer a very wide selection of items to chose from and the displays were a pleasure to behold. What more can wish for?

The restaurant was absolutely lovely. We had a lovely waitress who was really friendly and helpful. Food was amazing - lots of choices (especially for me as a vegetarian). Dessert counter was phenomenal. Quite pricey, but worth it.

I stayed at The Grove for One night and have to say all.the staff looked happy and were very receptive and courteous. Food and service was A star. grounds and tea rooms q must to explore. unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the spa area. however I am sure it would t have disappointed. WELL DONE TO ALL.

Amazing experience Food was certainly the highlight. Waiting and bar staff were helpful, tentative and friendly. The room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. Service always amazing during out stay. Really enjoyed the treatments. Spa staff were lovely. A shame not all facilities were available but I'm sure the upgrade will be worth it. Only recommendation; Would have liked more filtered cold water stations available to top up my bottle in areas around the main hotel. However, we are heading home fully relaxed and looking forward to our next visit.

Had a charming dinner at the Glasshouse, Grove Hotel. Decor and surroundings are fantastic, the wall art built from cutlery a particular wow factor piece. Food was very good at a 4/5. Will be back to try the other resturants and a better walk around the grounds. Highly recommend.

We took a half board package for NYE with two nights, breakfast and dinner included. Overall very unhappy and frustrated by the inexperience of the staff. [-] - The staff is very junior. Any question you ask (even the most basic ones) at the reception or restaurant, they are either unsure/ have no clue or have to make calls and make us wait for 30mins to get a response. - relates to my first point. but we found out at the time of checkout a bill of over 500, with all the breakfasts and dinners billed.

With our 2y old baby, we spent 1h at the reception showing emails, proofs that it's half board while the receptionist was checking by phone that what we were showing was true. Absolutely unacceptable for a 5* that the staff is totally unaware of the offer we took+ not a single apology for the wait and their lack of experience - as mentioned, we took half board, and we had no clue for what we were going to pay for and what was included.

We were charged for the drinks and service charge while NOTHING in the confirmation says that drinks were excluded. And as usual the staff had no clue when we asked them, and got all kind of contradictory informations - the babies/kids swimming pool is located outside of the hotel. So it's a complicated logistic to take kids outside in the cold/rain, swim and come back to the room again.

Add to this that the babies swimming pool (60cm) was very dirty. [+] - nice activities for the kids - excellent restaurant : the glasshouse and the stables. - great spa and swimming pool - nice NYE party

Gorgeous hotel. I've stayed here a few times before but not for 3 years. They have really improved and it's just a beautiful luxury place to stay. We were upgraded on arrival and the room was gorgeous. Kids club was great so I could enjoy a wonderful massage in the spa. Only downside was The Glasshouse restaurant which is buffet and 56 for an adult, I only had one course, which was good but not amazing so very expensive!

And they tried to charge 28 for my 3 year olds dinner, which consisted of a few chips and a small slice of pizza! But they did knock that off when I questioned it. The children's pool is too small and quite basic. The main pool is gorgeous, it's a shame they don't allow children in the main pool for certain hours of the day, or improve the kids pool. Overall a lovely break and great hotel.

Great place, we went to the Greenhouse Restaurant and it was absolutely outstanding. Great Staff, Great Food but at a price. But terrific for an occasion.

Beautiful hotel in the Hertfordshire countryside. Meet friends for their 50th birthday. Set in beautiful surroundings. I must stress I have never stayed there but our friends did and they loved it. Also great for golf fans

Rather good food with excellent service and a pleasant ambience to match. 75 pounds a head for a buffet, but it is money well spent. I would recommend this venue.

Went to Cinder restaurant in the Potting Shed across from the main hotel. Very simple and straight forward menu. Fantastic location for the food that was cooked. Fresh all done over fire. Very flavorsome food. Service was excellent. Myself and husband use the Grove as date nights and have gone to all there restaurant never diSappointed.

One of the most outstanding venues I have ever had the chance to experience, this place above anything else is stunning. I work for amazing occasions bouncy castle hire, the drive up to the beautiful hotel was amazing in its self you MUST! Experience the luxury of just the grounds its self, the hotel is something I will leave for you to find out for your own. Devine is a great way to explain this hotel.

Brilliant experience, very relaxed and excellent service. Food was wonderful, spicy and hot but not over the top. Punjabi samosa was a bit oily, but the rest was very good. We had a voucher for 200, and we spent 150. The manager came to see us and insisted that we order take away (lots of takeaway!) to make up to 200. He didn't need to do this but it was a lovely gesture.

We also felt the pricing was right for the food and location. Truly wonderful. And we were delighted to hear that it's no longer a pop up, but a permanent fixture at The Grove.
