Once again we had a lovely stay here staff are very welcoming and friendly and polite also on hand to help in what way they can we love staying here and we go back time and time again thank you so much to Graham and Daniel for your help. Although parts of the hotel were still closed when we visited, everything we needed was available. Clean room, good breakfast and excellent friendly staff.
The hotel is 2 minutes from Lime St station and 5 mins from main shopping area. I thought you were professional from the outset, and throughout the booking process you made it smooth and seamless.

The room we had had the noisiest of heating/water pipes that banged all night, we might as well of slept on the floor as the bed was solid and then at the early hours of the morning we could hear every announcement from lime street station, why wouldn't the have noise cancelling windows? We went to speak to reception on our way out but the guy on reception was on the phone and there was queue of people so thought it's best to give feedback later that day because with the little amount of sleep we had, it'll only lead to an angry altercation.
We emailed the liner on several times but they didn't have the decency to email back at all. We then went through the booking agency Hotels.com, for them to just ignore them as well which I thought was very disrespectful as well. So all I'd suggest is even though the location is pretty good (that's why I gave 2 stars instead of one), find a better hotel, one with decent rooms and respect for their customers

Well, where do we start! Upon checking in, requested an iron and was given a code. cutting a very long story short, it's an ironing room that didn't have any power to it. I had to sit in the room waiting for the power to come back on wasting valuable time. I'd asked for an iron in my room but non where available. Bizarre as every hotel I go to (which is a lot) offer an iron!
Literally felt that I wasn't given any help with this. Next. one of the lifts were broken down. Being at the back of the hotel, you can hear clear as day the tannoy from Lime Street train station. It seemed like every door slammed making you wake at 6am. The key card doesn't give you access to your room if you put it in your phone case card holder. Something nobody mentioned leaving us very frustrated and again, loosing valuable time. Never have I had this problem before.

Excellent hotel. Our first visit to Liverpool and we had a wonderful 2 night stay. Very clean, and staff REALLY helpful. Rooms are very comfortable, with tea and coffee making. Showers nice and hot. Wouldn't bother with the Seafarer Bar though, directly adjacent and next door to the hotel. Absolutely terrible. Considering we are finally coming out of lockdown, the hospitality was awful.
At 10.30pm tonight, last orders were called. At 10.35pm, the shutters were brought down, and at 10.55pm, the staff switched off the TV and music, switched off the lights and left us there literally sitting in the dark. I joked, tongue in cheek, "we'll lock up before we go", they laughed and walked out, leaving us there in the dark. Boycott it, get yourself some refreshments, and have in your room.

Brilliant New Years stay over from start to finish. Comfortable Room and Bed, along with a fabulous New Years Eve Meal, and Canopes to start with and Wine. The Entertainment was good too, being a Jersey Boys Tribute with lots of Frankie Valli and other 60,s hits. Every time I have stayed at the Liner, I have been more than satisfied, and this occasion was no different. The location of the Hotel and Theatre are just 5 minutes away from the rear Exit of the Train Station. Well Worth a Stay over.

Dont let the exterior of this hotel put you off. This is a beautiful and unique hotel. The main balloon makes you think you are on an actual liner. Very friendly and attentive staff. Extremely clean and well ventilated. Food was excellent. My only complaint would be there wasn't adequate spot lighting on the stage area.

Booked The Liner Hotel with a friend as they have a pre-theatre menu. The Hotel couldn't be in a better place for a meal before going to The Empire. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and efficient. We had the 3 course meal for 19:95 and it was lovely. There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant and it was busy so I imagine booking is essential. Would highly recommend and will certainly visit again.

Booked for Christmas Day lunch this year. We have eaten out a couple of times before at Christmas and we've always had fairly decent service. From the moment we'd booked and the menu was sent over for our choices we were looking forward to going. The day itself was well organised - Champagne on arrival, our tables were ready at the times they said they would be and the kitchen had been alerted to all of the allergies.
When the food came out, it was superbly presented, hot and most of all delicious! We had a brilliant afternoon and we'd like to thank all of the staff, chef's and waiters/waitresses for their attention on the day! Thank you!

Just want to thank Simon and everyone of the bistro staff for a magical Christmas day lunch experience. We were a family of 8 adults, 2 children and a baby. from the minute we arrived until we left we were. treated like VIPS nothing was too much trouble. The settings were amazing, food piping hot and well presented and the staff were delightful. After months of uncertainty due to the pandemic the day was amazing. Thank you all and God willing we will be back 2022.

Excellent position, car park (and the car park staff are amazing) good food. The one thing I couldn't get my head round was the fact the hotel bar closed at 10:30pm on a Friday night even for residents.weird, . but I must praise the barman whose name I believe was Brad. What a top guy and credit to the hotel, he was running the bar and taking food orders singlehanded, nothing fazed him and he was pleasant and helpful.cheers mate

Rustic atmosphere. Feels like you're in the 30s. Facilities are up to standard. Could do we bedside power sockets and with complementary iron and ironing board. Also no air con or temp control console in the room. Overall a decent place to stay if you're not fussed about the lack of certain amenities hence the 4 star rating.

Unfortunately we had to cut our cruise short as my hubby landed in the hospital in Liverpool. The ER nurses told me about this hotel and said they would give me a discount. I checked in and stayed for 5 nights. Upon check out they wouldn't discount the first night because of a miscommunication. I was told when u checked in the hospital could call to request the discount but the hotel told me otherwise on day 5. Whatever, I had no choice and the location was convenient.
As far as the hotel the front desk staff is wonderful. They were very supportive and kept asking how my hubby was. The decor is adorable like an old cruise liner. There is no air conditioning and the windows don't open but a crack. I was lucky to snag a fan, otherwise, I don't think I could have stayed here. The shower in the bathroom had no water pressure and I had to almost stand against the wall to shower. The included breakfast was tasty and ample. I highly recommend the restaurant downstairs and bar. The beers were cold and the food was tasty.

If you are using Lime Street Station this is a great location to stay at. It is a very easy walk to and from the station from The Liner. We used the Deluxe Double room on 4th floor and it was very nice. The staff were are very friendly and we would stay here again. The hotel restaurant was excellent as well.

There was a disco or party and the music was unbearable. Writing review at about 1 am because it is impossible to sleep. Turned out to be a holiday party until 1:30, incredibly inconsiderate of the hotel to allow and keep so many guests up. The Internet was also very slow, even at off hours. The location is good, staff is friendly and rooms are clean but if you can't sleep what's the benefit.

Tucked away behind Lime Street Station, The Liner is a nautical themed hotel and restaurant that is well worth a visit for a great meal out. Now I've never stayed here, but I've eaten here twice and the food was unbelievable! The menu changes frequently but the service was top notch and wandering the hotel after the meal was fun. The hotel has a great bar which really feels like you are on holiday in your own city. It's hard to explain why, but when we went in, there was American Horse Racing on the TV in the bar and we had a great laugh chatting to tourists who were visiting Liverpool for the first time. Although the food and service were great at the restaurant, It was pricey, so be warned! We had three courses each and a bottle of wine and the bill came to over 70.
