After making a mistake in my booking dates I contacted the hotel to try and rectify the situation. They decided to use the fact I booked a non-refundible ticket to not agree to neither a refund nor a change of date. In my eyes they decided to go for a quick cash-grab, even though I was willing to pay for a more expensive than the original one. I only assume they were hoping I'd own up to my mistake and make a second booking with them to give them more money. Can't say a single good word about an institution that cannot be compassionate or adjust to their customer.

Good position by the river side and not far from the town centre. Rooms clean and tidy, beds firm but comfy had a good night's sleep. Restaurant on site good food and a selection of drinks. Staff were polite and helpful. Free parking on site. Will definitely stay again. Only down side is there is no lift for anyone that needs help.

It's good value for money, rooms are dated but clean. Tea/coffee facilities in the room, shampoo and lovely quality towels. Bedding is a good quality too. Parking on site and FREE. No fuss to check in or check out. Good location, walking distance to Albert Docks. McDonald's and KFC across the road. Free WiFi too.

Visited Liverpool with my son for a couple of days this Hotel is a 15 mins walk to the town. Room was on the small side but adequate. The staff were great and so friendly, great breakfast, evening meals weren't that interesting, but there is so much to chose from 15 mins away. ENJOY! Great price too

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Will not be returning, nearly 300 for 2 nights when it states on the sign outside the hotel only 29 a night! Bathroom was like a caravan bathroom. Floor was not hoovered. And very uncomfortable beds, where not allowed the tv on so loud we got a knock on the door too turn it down!

Get what you pay for. It was clean and tidy. Bathing facilities are compact! Staff very friendly. Room very warm after having to close window due to the noise. Could have used the earplugs provided! If l was on my own, l would have opted for the earplugs! Added bonus of free parking even after we had checked out. Able to to do a bit of sightseeing without having to pay for additional parking. Value for money

Do not ever stay here in the summer this hotel has NO air conditioner. The walls are thin so you can hear everything from your neighbors, can you even call their bathrooms a bathroom, more like a coffin with a toilet and shower head. The entire room get soaked when you take a shower. It is a little bit of a distance from city center. They took advantage of events at the center and jacked up their prices.
Not a place I would ever suggest to another, nor would I stay here again. The lack of a/c made the stay quite miserable. Staff ladies are nice and restaurant has decent food.

I loved almost everything about this small quaint hotel. It was my first time in Liverpool and after a long flight from the US and a car ride from London Heathrow, I was glad to see the bed in my room. I was in town for the Liverpool Rock n' Roll Marathon. It was a last minute decision and I was fortunate to find such an affordable room near the start and finish lines of the race. Pros: 1.
Excellent friendly front desk 2. Comfortable bed 3. They sell power adapters in their vending machine 4. Plenty of parking 5. Convenient location, located near Albert Dock 6. Affordable rates Cons: 1. Teeny tiny bathroom. If you tried to turn in the shower, your elbow will for sure hit the wall. 2. If you're sitting on the can, you probably can't shut the door as there's no room for both of your legs and feet! The pros definitely outweighed the cons, so I wouldn't mind staying here again in the future if I'm looking for something cheap, convenient, and nothing too fancy.

Good location, friendly staff, and the bar is open til 1 AM. The prices were OK, not spectacular. That being said, the room was horrible and cramped with a tiny wet room instead of a proper bathroom. If you've never experienced a wet room before, this basically means that the whole bathroom gets wet when you take a shower. The walls were paper thin, and the other guests were loud and obnoxious at all hours of the night. We will never book this hotel again.

As far as budget hotels go, Dolby certainly does have a fantastic location. While it doesn't carry the umph of a dolby digital stereo surround sound, it does make up for that in terms of its accessibility. The rooms are going here at alarmingly low rates, between 40-50. Given as I said the location that is fantabulous! It does have a no frills feel to it but then again it is low budget is it not.
People traveling in large groups would probably fancy it here. Even those who have splashed out on the better seats at the Echo for a concert, and are looking for a cheaper over night option this really is perfect. If you are not a citizen of pretention city you definitely will not mind staying at this humble abode.

I don't think the Dolby Hotel is part of the Accor hotel group but it's very similar to the Etap and Formule 1 hotels in the group. It's excellent value for money- costs about 48 during the week for a room that sleeps up to three people and 58 at the weekend for a triple room. I think it costs even less during low season. Given the price of the hotel you can't expect luxury but it is good value for money. The room was impeccably clean as was the bathroom and the service was excellent.

Does what it says on the tin. Budget hotel on the docks. I stayed here with my friend, we were surprised to find bunk beds one one the floor facing out with another cabin-type bed above. The bathroom was like a caravan bathroom. The shower was over the toilet and the whole place got soaked. There was also no real wall, it was plastic. So you could hear everything clearly.
We had dinner there one night and it was ok, nothing special and well priced. They do not have phones in the rooms or do room service. We tried to buy a bottle of wine when we got back at night at they don't have a bar, but you can buy alcohol in the restaurant with dinner, confusing! If you want luxury, AVOID! But it's well placed (next to a casino!) and cheap as chips for budget travellers.
