The Sir Thomas Hotel

Had a fabulous time in the St Thomas St. Didnt stay at the hotel but attended the "Ladies Day" package, thought we'd have a change, as Aintree has priced itself out, well what a day, fantastic isn't the word it was brilliant, good food and entertainment, laughed all day, --Suzanne and her staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for you---"Goodbye Aintree it was nice knowing you"-- xxx

The Staff are very friendly and helpful but the rooms are very tired looking. You can choose off the menu for breakfast there is no continental breakfast available but they serve until 2pm.

We came for a Hen night and a cocktail making experience, well firstly want to say Jay you are a little gem he was lovely, so welcoming, funny, all the ladies said the say Sir T hotel you have a amazing employee there.on the down side as we were in the room opposite the car park the lights flickering all night were a pain especially as the blinds were broke. But overall great. Jay see you soon x

The location of the hotel was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, the beds were not good, really lumpy and very short. Also, the noise from the street was really awful. The windows weren't double glazed (maybe they aren't allowed to be) so the noise went on all night and I had little sleep for 2 nights. If bad beds and noise doesn't bother you then the location and staff may compensate.

We didn't stay here - but decided that it looked like a nice place to have a breakfast. There were 11 of us in total - which if was too much for a walk in - would have completely understood. We ordered 10 full English breakfasts and 1 vegetarian as well as drinks. Drinks arrived - ok, toast arrived cold and burnt - this was replaced but without butter. Breakfasts arrived eventually approx 1 hour later - vegetarian not as requested, black pudding cold and undercooked, cutlery dirty.

Hardly any of the food was ate - we explained very nicely to the young girl who served us and she went to speak to the manager who sent her back to say we could have 50% discount off the bill - breakfasts were 11.95 each - so we all agreed to pay 6 - Jay the manager on the day said drinks would have to be full price as we drank them - which is fair enough but when questioned due to the whole overall experience suggested to one of us that the police would be involved if we didn't pay full price for the teas and coffees as it would bd classed as theft.

Room clean and tidy. Toiletries provided. Even though our room was next to lift and road we were not kept awake due to noise.

We stayed here for 2 nights our room was great clean tidy and comfortable, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend.

Only stopped by to have a drink in the bar so not much to comment on. Lovely set up cosy bar with lovelyfireplace, helpful staff talked us through the art display, this was of great interest to us as we had been admiring it.

What can I say but what a gem. Booking in was smooth and staff were very polite and professional. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Bar and restaurant are modern and welcoming and breakfast was excellent quality and value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel.
