Great all round break for adults and children. Plenty to do. Nice eateries. Good entertainment and Bingo. Quieter bars for adults too. Bus stop to Blackpool just outside. Great swimming pool and facilities. Adult and children's pool. Jacuzzi and Sauna. Bike hire and mini golf very cheap. Animal sanctuary too. Stayed at The Motel. Very reasonable. Great attentive staff too. Would go back. Something for everyone.

Stayed for a week in May 2022, cottage was lovely and clean, had everything we needed and we got travel cots and high chairs for no extra cost. The activities for young children are excellent, the swimming pool is nice, and there are loads of extra things to do. Our favourite parts of the holiday were Wild Discovery Zoo, The Pancake Hut and The Hive activities (especially Zoe, she is great and my eldest loved her!). My girls really enjoyed their holiday, we will be coming back

Great location - 20 minutes from Blackpool. Bar, Restaurant and s Tapas bar reasonably priced. Family friendly with lots of pathways, playgrounds and open spaces allowing children to play and cycle safely. Swimming pool 1.3m deep with slides and hot tubs. Soft play area and a climbing wall. Evening entertainment advertised in reception. Ducks walking around the site come and knock on the patio doors, food can be bought at reception.

I take a lady with learning disabilities swimming here regularly. They have a decent changing room with a bed and hoist so its great for wheelchair users. Another hoist to enter the pool. You have 2 options, use the family pool or if your a health club member they have another pool for members. We use the family pool. 7 to get in. Staff very helpful, pool is lovely and a credit to the region. Plenty of places to eat or visit like the petting zoo on site. Essentially it is a place where people holiday but day users are made just as welcome. Give it a whirl.

Great place for kids and adults. They have swimming pool with slides. They have a small shallow area for smaller children with slides too which is amazing. For older adults and young children they have jacuzzi tubs. In a different area they have sauna steam room sauna which is a bonus. Outdoor they have play area's where children can let off some steam and if you get hungry there's a restaurant on site too so defo a place to visit.

Lovely family holiday here. We stayed in a cottage. Quite spacious, master bedroom was an ensuite. All the bedrooms had TVs. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking. Looked out on to. Lovely woodland. The children's entertainment was wonderful. They had a really good time. The pool was busy but we still had fun! Would highly recommend it for a family holiday.

Went to Ribby for a Friday to Monday break and were very lucky with the weather at the end of February, dry, bright but chilly. The facilities were excellent both in the chalet and the communal areas. Staff were very helpful and happy to go beyond to please. We had grandchildren with us and so did most other families so it is clearly a popular venue for family groups with plenty to occupy all ages. Activities were not cheap so this needs to be taken into account in overall cost including the catering outlets. The site is sufficiently compact to be able to walk between activities so no need for cycles once the car has been dumped.

Loved our mini break here. The kids loved playing on the various parks. Lots of nice walks and Bark Park for our pooch. The kids ate sundaes from the pancake hut which were a hit too. The cottage was perfect, definitely a home from home. Bedding clean and fresh, plenty of towels and the dog friendly cottage meant we had a safe and secure place for the pooch to play out. A place we will 100% book again!

Great hotel, lovely location and very reasonable. Its close to Wrea Green, Lytham and Preston, just off the M55. Rooms are modern, spacious, well fitted and include ensuites with glass showers, heated floors and soaking tubs. The spa and facilities are superb, the price very reasonable and I loved my stay. Its a place I will go back to every time I get the chance. Well done.

I have had the pleasure of staying here twice recently, in the Spa Hotel. And what a hotel it is! I was away with work, and on my first visit, somehow I was upgraded to a double suite. Two rooms, and a seperate sitting room! The suite was stunning - luxurious but not disgustingly so - simply modern and comfortable. Beautiful decor, and really clean - just like new.
There was a fridge, which was handy, and the heating/air conditioning was fully controllable via wall panels. The bathroom was epic - large bath and a seperate double shower unit with different shower settings - the rain one and all that. Plus you can get the sound from the tv into the bathroom, which I really like while I'm having a soak. There were also Molton Brown toilletries - very posh.
My room was overlooking the front drive, which includes a duck pond with a variety of ducks, and a fountain. It was exceptionally lovely. The next time, I was put into a standard room. I wasn't expecting this to be anywhere as nice as the suite. But it was! Just the same really but with fewer rooms. It had all the same features and was a pleasure to stay in - warm and cosy, I was very comfortable.
The employees are also lovely - I had the same receptionist both times and she advised me of nice routes to go running, and was keen to make sure that my dietary requirements were catered for. This unfortunately is where the hotel let itself down. I will give it the benefit of the doubt - the chef in the Spa Hotel was off ill, so they were directing customers to one of the other restaurants on site, but I wanted room service as I'd been a run. I'm vegan and wheat free, and the person I spoke to in the other restaurant really did not have a clue.
I thought it was easiest to just get a salad and some steamed veg, and specified that I was vegan, and to make sure that there was no butter put on the veg. What did they come with? That's right, butter! I sent them back and the lovely porter man, even though I said not to bother, was so concerned that I had some veg for dinner, that he sent up some fresh ones, even though I'd said it was really fine.
He said he was vegetarian and knew what it was like not to get what you'd asked for. He was just as lovely as the receptionist. I think if you are a standard eater though, you would like it here, the menu did look lovely. Breakfast was excellent too - I had some little fruit smoothie shooters, lots of fresh fruit, and some porridge made with water, which suited me fine. I would happily come here on holiday - the hotel is lovely, the employees really focussed on customer service, and the surroundings are beautifully picturesque.
